Hey everyone,

Just found this place today and am looking foward to learning about the world of cigars. I quit smoking cigs 9 days ago after 1-2 packs a day for 20 years...ouch! I am definately resolved to never buy another pack of cigs again but an ocassional cigar might be just what I need. The only cigar I've tried so far is a Punch London Club and a Sancho Panza, not sure what kind. Any pointers for an absolute beginner would be cool!

Welcome to CP. I went cold turkey on the cancer sticks on July 10th, 2002 after 35 years. Hang tough, you can do it.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Since the number of different cigars that I've tried can be counted on one hand, maybe the newbie sampler thing is the way to go.

The newbie sampler is the way to go. You get a large variety of cigars to learn from.
