HELP Need to replace the radiator fan relay on a 2002 Grand Cherokee

Well I'm kinda stuck right now. My Wife's 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been running hot due to the radiator fan relay not working properly so the fan will not cut on. My problem is that all the resources that I have looked at say that I must either take the passenger side headlight out and cut a hole in the headlight bucket, or to remove the front bumper to access the relay. I am hoping that someone out there has done this before and may have some suggestions to make this easier. I really don't want to cut a hole in anything that doesn't have a hole there already, nor do I want to have to remove the entire front bumper. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

Give me the engine size 4.0L, 4.7L, 5.2L, or 5.9L and I'll email you scans of the replacement procedure from Chrysler/Jeep.

That, and is it a Laredo, or Limited?

PM me your personal email addy please.

Don't know if this will come through or not as you don't have a subscription. If not I'll scan and email you the document. Looks like the front bumper and grill have to come off as well as removal of the vacuum reservoir. Sounds like a lot of work for such a small part. You may be able to sneak it somehow, but you'd be able to tell better than I would with the vehicle right in front of you.

Hey, just found out that I may have someone that will do the replacement for about 50 bucks. If not then I will do it myself. Thanks everyone for the quick responses. If I do end up doing it myself then I will definately use the info from everyone here.

If you end up doing the replacement yourself, I'd move the relay so you don't have to pull the engine next time it needs to be replaced....

You gonna have popcorn while you do the work? :D
