In case anyone wonders why we do these things, here are a couple of notes I have received recently;
===========================================
Gary,
I would like to pass on a sincere thank you from myself and the men of EOD Mobile Unit 3 in Kandahar, Afghanistan for the package you sent them. I can't express enough to you how much your generosity is appreciated by these military men. You package will definitely make for some memorable moments during their tour here in Afhganistan, once again thank you. Respectfully, Fernando Juarez, USN Retired.

Mr. King,
Thank you and your family for the care package with snacks and cigars.
Although Marines do not ask for much, they thoroughly enjoy receiving packages, not only for the treat but knowing that someone has taken the time to show their appreciation. Know that you have made a bunch of Marine Corps engineers a very happy bunch indeed as we smoke in “peace and camaraderie” on our plastic chairs on the rooftop when the temperature dips at night from 120 to 85 or so.
The quality of your gift did not go unnoticed either. The aficionados were extremely impressed.
Thank you again and God bless you and your family.
Col Marcela Monahan, USMC

So I want to take a moment and thank all of you who have helped me with this mission. You all deserve as much of the credit as anyone. I could not do it without your help. Please know that we are making a difference while supporting our men and women over there. They obviously appreciate it very much.

Now get back to work!!
