Hey guys and gals, I am resurfacing for air. I guess it has been nearly a month an a half since my last login. I have been busy with being deployed, finalizing my divorce, and trying to work something out with my Assignment Officer for transfer. So here's the scoop, I am still coming up to Baltimore in Jan. I'll fly home in Feb, and be back for March. So if your Yanks are still up for a cigar in the snow, lets get together.
After hagling with my Assignment Officer, I was able to get him to agree to transfwer me to Miami next Summer. I get to do 9-12 months on land before transfering back to a ship. He said I'll only be on the ship until a land job in Miami opens up. So looks to be a minimum of 1 year on the ship, but maybe as long as three. So much for time time off for good behavior. LOL But at least I will be stationed within a close drive to my kids.
My ex and I are being civil so far. I can see my kids whenever I want without too much hassle. I am paying out the nose right now, but that is by choice. She wasn't ready to be on her own with the kids. We have agreed in principal to the divorce. Child payment only, no alimony, and she retains custody. She agreed to let me see the kids when ever I want, and when I get my own place in Miami, I'll be able to have them on weekends too.
I still have all have all the CPI cigars safely in my posession on the ship. I will be sending them all off to Joe M. when I get back to Key West in the middle of December. I haven't forgotten. I hope all is well with my fellow BOTL's. I'll try and return as often as I can.

Hello brother Emo, Glad to hear from you and that things are okay with you. Are you coming up here for the holidays to see your mom and stuff. Let me know and we can get together for a couple of cold ones and a few good ceegars. Keep in touch with us all and again it's good to hear your doing better..... :D :thumbs: :p
 
I think a herf could be done. There's myself, Oak, Beefcube and the Virginny boys who are in driving distance. Let us know the details when you get them. :thumbs:

Welcome back Emo! Glad to hear things are still civil for you and you won't have problems seeing the kids. Good luck on the transfer and I hope you don't stay at sea too long.
 
Good to see you posting Emo. Hang in there, I'm sure everything will work out. Keep us posted about Balt, depending on when I'll try to make it.

Good to hear from you and glad to hear that you are keeping your head up. Hope things stay that way. And, looking forward to a HERF when you get to Miami or in the Keys - still planning on doing a deep sea fishing HERF from my 45 footer in Key Largo soon (probably after the holidays). :thumbs: :D
