I placed a recent order for some delicious RP Edge Sumatras last week and a free sampler was to come with it of 4 vintage 90 and 4 Indian Tabac super furte box pressed maduros came free.
When I opened the package there was indeed the Sumatras but instead there was a Roly sampler instead.
I called and bam no questions asked they sent the correct sampler out right away.
I tried the Indian Tabac tonight and I am not a fan.
I wanted to give props where due though.

Does anybody like these Indian Tabacs? First one to pm their addy gets them.

The first Indian Tabac Super Fuerte I tried was the Super Gordo size, a 6 x 58 - and I really liked it. When I saw a BOS (box on sale) a few weeks later, I pulled the trigger. The deal was on a box of the box press Toro size, a 6 x 52. Although I do like them, I don't care for the Toro as much as the Super Gordo. I've not experienced that small amount of ring gauge making a big flavor difference before...or maybe it's that the Toro is box pressed and the Super Gordo wasn't? I'm just filing it away as one of cigar's big mysteries.

I know there was the thread a while back about the classless shot at Padilla which angered and surprised me too, but I feel like that was not the norm for Holt's and somebody had to have let something slip through the cracks. I'm just speaking of the B&M stores... they always have everything in stock, a gigantic selection including HTF and rares, every stick is in good shape, the place is immaculate, and every employee treats me with respect.

It's just my opinion and probably a minority opinion here and I totally understand that. I've given them every chance to screw up but they're always great to me.

Holts has very good prices IMHO. In Philly I save sometimes up to $2 a stick, they sell a lot at MSRP.

Agree with ya on that, they're usually right at or near MSRP, even for the ones on the rarer and more super premium side (in the shop at least). Sometimes I see that CI will beat them on certain smokes. But then again CI is often backordered or out of stock.

Holt's shameful behavior vis-a-vis Ernesto Padilla is well-documented on this forum. As they say..."look it up!"
