With all the news of the record heat and floods this past week it's got me wondering how all of our BOTL's across the country are holding up.

Our household has experienced a little bit of heat exhaustion after sitting out in the 106 degree weather in San Bernardino the other day but other than that we're all holding well.

Take care of yourselves!

I haven't been able to mow my lawn in 2 weeks because it's rained either every day or at least every other day. So my yard has been soggy for half a month easy. My grass is about a foot tall, hehe.

But we're ok, so I can't complain.

We've been spared here, but I've got family in KS that has lost all their crop. We'll also likely see a spike in gas prices here as the refinery that is flooded provides the gasoline refinery up here with a portion of their oil.

Thoughts and prayers to those affected.

Nothing better than walking in the rain. Life in Houston SUCKS, it has been raining from days and days. It is not the hot, but lots of crazy rain!! No cigars by the pool, I have moved to the garge! I hope everyone else is OK

Having a hard time smoking cigars in the morning because by the time I get up, it's already 105 and sunny. By the late afternoon it's 117. Last night after the fireworks ended at 10pm....the temp was still 102!

Well there's floodin' down in Texas, all of the telephone lines are down
Well there's floodin' down in Texas, all of the telephone lines are down
And I've been tryin' to call my baby, Lord and I can't get a single sound

Well dark clouds are rollin' in, man I'm standin' out in the rain
Well dark clouds are rollin' in, man I'm standin' out in the rain
Yeah flood water keep a rollin', man it's about to drive poor me insane...

Here in RI, it's actually been a pleasant summer so far...warm, not too humid, cool nights. Rained last night and part of 4th of July, due to be in the 80's this weekend. No complaints here so far, typically it's hot and humid around here.

Hot and humid in Los Angeles! I don't mind the heat, but the humidity is very uncomfortable.

Been hitting 107 here in Tracy, CA. Going outside is like getting hit in the face with a volcano. I can only imagine what it feels like in Vegas and Arizona with 116 degrees.

Yeah, but it is a dry heat! :sign: (so is the oven, but I wouldn't want to live in it)

Hope all is well with everyone.

We've had about 3/4" of rain in the last three and a half months. We are praying that God will send us a bit of what Texas has too much of. Luckily everyone put in a bumper crop of 1st cutting hay because it'll be a miracle if we get a second cutting let alone a third. The corn and tomatoes are a joke so prices are soaring. Soon enough everyone is going to feel that at the grocery. The temps have been in the mid 90's but the humidity is there too. Ugh, I stink enough as it is!

Seattle called; they said they want their rain back.

We have lakes that were 18 and 20 feet below normal levels before the rain, now some of them are 18, 20, and almost 30 feet above normal level. Haltom City may soon be known as Haltom Lake.

Its still 70 an overcast here in Humboldt... My wife was telling me that she heard on the radio that Vegas hit 128 deg. yesterday! OMFG thats rediculous!

And today...I turned the shower all the way to cold, and when I stepped in, it was so hot I jumped back...probably between 100 and 105....felt like jacuzzi water...(with the pipes running through the hot ground and all)

spent the whole morning into afternoon smoking while making a quick 25% daytrading on my unscheduled day off.

now it's a little warm.

---- the little lady's on her way home, early weekend starting woohoo! powers out in north OC, so early day for her.
