Just like s question said
How much time does it usually take You to decide what You'll be smoking this evening.
I thought about this poll after catching myself few hours ago thinking what am I going to smoke this evening, and it was about 12:00/13:00 so closer to the morning than the evening.

Is it just 'a choice' for You that You can make? or something more? :)

I think it depends on the day I’m having. Sometimes I know exactly what I want. Other days I wasn’t even thinking about smoking until after I had a big meal and poked around in the humi. I think the more spontaneous the smoke the better it is.

Often I will see here on the board someone mention a specific cigar that makes me think I should give it a try so I will dig through the humi to find it.

I generally stare into the drawers until something calls to me. Usually one to two minutes, but the 5-10 choice was the better fit. If I pick something still in a box, well, then there is tetrus time involved.

In general, I take 5-10 minutes to decide what I'm going to smoke. About once a week I can't decide, and I end up staring at my glass topped humidor for over an hour. :whistling:

I have one humidor filled with Opus, so I would open it up and just take one, but most of the time I open up my main humidor and go through my cigars for a few minutes.

Stand in front of my humi's singing to myself. Usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

takes me about 5-10 minutes. i find myself thinking throughout the day about what I want to smoke. I've already planned a smoke for an event that's a month and a half away. And yes, I've already begun thinking about what I'm gonna smoke tonight.

Usually, I am at my desk, and I think to myself , “I want a cigar”, and this happens about 3 or 4 times a day, and by the time I get to my humidor, I know what I want. I hate to fiddle-f#%k around in the humidor when the Rh in the room is 25 to 30%.

Doc.

I always just stand there staring  at my stash trying to figure out what to smoke. It is such a dilemma!!

1/2 the time I'll have something on the menu all picked out long before I get home.
1/2 I sit and poke at the humidor until somethign catches my eye...

Occasionally NOTHING sounds like a good "fit" for my mood and I end up not smoking anything at all. Those days are sad...

I have to admit, I have been known to be sitting somewhere else, staring into space, visualizing the glasstop, performing a mental inventory of what to smoke. Then when I get hom eI usually pick something else anyway.

Long live the addiction.

I usually lay out about 15 to 20 cigars out on the top tray of my coolider that I may be interested in smoking the next couple of days. In the morning I reduce that to about 4 or 5 cigars. In the evening I spend about 10 to 20 minutes seeing how I feel, what I have eaten, what I am drinking before I settle down to a couple.

Sometimes you BOTLs /SOTLs screw that all up by talking about a cigar I have not laid out then I have to go rumaging throw the humi to find it. Thanks guys!!
