I just got home from a weekend of racing at Roebling Road Raceway in georgia. Not sure what happened yet, but I crashed hard in turn 1, coming off the main straight away. Bike is tore up pretty good, I've got a severe concussion and broken right hand and wrist. it sucks big time, but could have been worse.

I still have a few jerky orders pending, if anyone hasn't received an order, please be patient and I will get it out asap

ps typing one handed sucks!

Damn, that REALLY sucks.
Glad you are ok (with the exception of a broken hand and wrist).

Be careful, you will be the dad of twins soon...

Hey bro,

Sorry to hear about your misfortune!
At least it sounds like the injuries will pass comparitively easily, gimme your address and I'll ship ya some good mojo to help ya heal up with!

Cheers bro,
Rob

Damn bro, maybe it's time to slow down. :whistling: Take care of yourself and those two kids.

Sorry to hear about the crash. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Now in my strongest parental voice: "like the others said time to cut back on the high risk factor hobbies".

Sorry to hear about your spill, Erick. Hang in there.

Second that on what Tony, sack, and cookie said.

When my second daughter came, I had to give up my promising career in competitive fire-eating. :whistling:

Wilkey

I will be glad when I get enough info to piece it all together. not knowing what happened kinda sucks!

thanks guys
Damn dude .. hope you recover well! I've wrecked on bikes before and that is no fun. I got a concussion skiing from completely wiping out after a ski jump. I was pretty freaked out for a couple days about not remembering and wondering if I was going to have memory problems from then on ... hey .. maybe that's my problem. LOL.

My buddy in Missoula races on a Yamaha. He high-sided doing 180. He was in a halo for awhile and has a ton of metal in his leg now. Getting back in the racing scene was tough for him at first .. he noticed he was a little gun shy in certain situations. But he was glad that he jumped back in and raced, for a bit. Now he has backed off and spends more time with his wife.

So while my suggestion may not be the same as these guys; it may still be similar. Get back on that horse. Your confidence is what will save your bacon down the road. But it may be time to ease up to ... your call.

Looks like you have time to sit and smoke a few cigars though.

I gave up doing dangerous shit for recreation about the time of the birth of my first child. I suspect you will too. Hope you recover quickly. It sucks having your bell rung.

Doc.

Damn bro...that sucks.
Here's to a complete and speedy recovery!

Dude - that's sooooo, bad.

Get well HB, your caring turkey jerky lovin' friend! :D

<Glad you're all right...I flipped AND rolled a Harley a few years back....turned it over, rode home and went to the hospital...very lucky!>

Maybe this is the Universe painting you with the mortality paintbrush. I got painted in the summer of 1978.

You'll be fine. Your wife will not. And unfortnately, bikes don't heal well without help and money infusions.
