Thanks to all for the warm wishes from all. I just got an email from the Human Rescources director. She has submitted a package requesting approval for a salary near the top of the salary cap (on this position) for me. She is hoping to get an approval by the end of Thursday.

I know they say don't burn any bridges but, this is one job that I definitely think I would not look back at. Only downside is that since I am the Service Manager they asked me to sign a contract stating that I would give them a months notice instead of the normal two weeks. Hopefully, the bastards tell me to get lost if I get the chance to hand in my notice. :laugh:

As for the 1 month agreement issue, I don't see how that's a real prob unless they have something to hang over your head like some old vacation time or other perks. Unless they've got a hammer of some sort, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It sounds as though they really haven't done too well holding up their end of any employment agreement. To me, that would render the agreement void. Just my TC.
