It was a Tornado. Hit the edge of my nursery about 1:30 this morning, while i was dreaming of beautiful naked women giving me boxes of Anejos...

Here's my well and injection system

here's the remnants of a giant Red Oak, was probably 120' x 150' (it's the tree on my well)

this was a canopy rd. that ran beside the nursery

and 4-500 yds away, my tractors are safe and sound

We were very lucky, only a few broken pipes at the well, no damage to the nursery, very very fortunate considering what could have happened. Lots of free firewood though, just come cut it

Thats why sometimes I'm happy I live in Europe without those tornados or earthquakes.

What are those narly trees? I'd hate to split that sh@t by hand.

Doc.

pin oak, I think, Doc. Nope, you'd use a log splitter.

Close, Southern Red Oak, too hot down here for Pin Oaks

and that tree we'll push up w/ a dozer and burn, great big marshmellow roast

Oh, and we have plenty of water oaks down on the other part of the farm, come on down and start splitting

I love that moss growing in your tree.
My Pop has that stuff growning around were he lives in north carlina
I brought it up here to nothern virginia and its lived though the winter
It has little flowers you know

I was smack dab in the middle of a tornado several years back...Worst 30 seconds of my life. Glad you made it out OK.
