I've been writing and rewriting a final exam to be given to an undergraduate class on child development and it's driving me nuts! I've been sitting in my basement all night on what is probably the last 72 degree day of the year and I can't smoke. And tomorrow, the deep freeze starts rolling in.

I agree. Maybe a step back and nice hour break will help. Looks like we're in for a nice 40degree hit so might as well enjoy the last of the warm weather. Hope all goes well Wilkey.
 
I can relate Wilkey. I have 80 undergrad papers to grade by Monday and about 600 pages of reading to do for Tuesday. Good luck!
 
As Moki added, I'm sure there are many here that will smoke in your honor.

As for child development, got any hints to make life easier for mom and dad as we raise our three week old son? :)

Seriously, taking a break for an hour or so and relaxing with a nice smoke will clear your head and things will come together. Good luck

Now is crunch time. I've got three sections of about 95 students and each with journals, exams, mentoring reports, charts, etc. to grade in the next week and a half. Winter break is looking good. I emailed the test draft to my professor last night at 11:51 PM and I got a crapload of revisions back by 9:22 AM! WTF? :p

Hmm, three weeks old? Get sleep when you can and don't feel guilty about it. Know that the baby doesn't do anything intentionally to piss you off, it's just a baby. If mommy's milk is slow to come in, go to formula until it does. Yes, the stuff in the diaper is supposed to look like that. No tub baths, just sponge and towel baths for a little longer. It's totally normal to just hang by the side of the crib and then look up to realize a half hour has passed in the blink of an eye.

Hmm I do some of my best work sitting out on the porch with some coffee my laptop and a nice robusto .... Maybe you should give it a shot!
