I'm a proud dad again...

I think a few of you knew that my wife and I were expecting our second child, well last night I climb into bed about 11:00 and every time I was about to fall asleep my wife would lean up and look around. I wasn't sure if something had her spooked or what, so I asked. She tells me she's timing her contractions and they were about 8 minutes apart. I ask her what she wants to do, and she tells me she wants to wait and see if they go away. Half hour later they are less than 5 minutes apart, and we were off. This morning at 6:00am my beautiful daughter Megan Elizabeth was born. This is a good day because it is also my brother-in-law, and my late grandfather's birthdays. Everyone is doing great. I'm going to withhold the critical information for now, because I smell a contest coming.

I probably won't get to celebrate with a special cigar for a day or two, because it's obviously hectic and I haven't slept for the past 32+hours. Anyway, I just wanted to share my good news with you guys, and now I'm off for a nap and a shower.

Oh, and the icing on the cake, my company just put in a new paternity leave policy, so I will be off work the next two weeks PAID.
