Well, SFG75 and alexgtp have joined the ranks of ltc and are in the process of banning most of our mutual friends... but... other than these seemingly stand up members spiraling into the dumpster it's been pretty quiet.

I dont like to get into these pissing matches.. But when you mention me by name I have to respond..

Im not banning anyone. Zac is.. seeing as he is the ADMIN..and has a right to do as he pleases
I am only a moderator of ONE SECTION.. the most I can do is lock a thread.. WOW so much power..


I do not beleive in banning ppl.
PPL will be PPL no matter what.
I dont beleive in policing internet board.
Unless they violate some common deceny standards..
Im all about ppl acting like adults. If they choose to bicker back and forth ..more power to them. Its actually pretty entertaining.. :D

I may be new to the cigar scene..but I am not new to the forums.. There will always be ass clowns..always be internet badasses and always ppl who like to abuse their authority..thats just the way things go..

i am actually trying to repeal some of the stuff they have done.. and actually get members unbanned.
i enjoy cigars.. and i enjoy going to many different place to read up on them..

To be honest, that board will probably see it's own demise soon with the likes of those running it.... :laugh:

My information is right on the money. Your name is on the board as a moderator. You ride for the brand pal that makes you the face of ltc. I don't see any posts by you trying to change anything and YOUR board is banning friends of mine. Dispute it all you want but the fact remains you are a part of that idiocy along with SFG75 and as long as you are, I'll voice my opinion of you and ltc and SFG. Nobody is bitching about those other boards because they aren't toilets.

It can be an island for misfit bruhda's! All of the people banned from the other sites can call it home! It will be like the Australia of old! :thumbs:

I think Cigar Misfits works a little better, I dont think there is a CM yet.
 
If someone went to CW, CF, CS, CS2, HP or any other respected cigar community and became a moderator, I think we would all be happy for them. Perhaps some of you aren't aware of why LTC is looked down upon so greatly. The admin decided to spam our site (as well as other reputable forums) several times. He was warned every time, and he denied he ever spammed. Some of the members of CP decided to go to LTC and publicly expose Zac (the admin) for what he is, and Zac didn't like it. He finally fessed up to spamming CP and disobeying our continuous (and polite) plea's to quit spamming. Judge him how you like. Personally, he and his site are not something I would associate with.

It's unfortuante to see people who know very little about the hobby (or even how to run a forum) attempt to launch a site dedicated to cigars. Clearly for personal gain. So, if anyone chooses to help out a site like this, great! However I will in no way support a site/forum which uses other sites for personal gain. LTC is one (and the only) cigar forum I will not support.

LTC is the biggest joke on the internet right now.

Zac has been advised but chooses to ignore good suggestions and is an immature POS with essentially no clue about cigars or the proper way to run an on-line BB.

There are many fine cigar BB's out there and LTC (letstalkcigars) is not one of them.

Hey alex, any luck getting Zac to lift the bans on moheganson, leebo and the other half of the country's IP addresses he's blocked?
 
Funny I never got banned there. That site was a huge waste of time. It was like talking to middle school kids.

(Scott you are not only a liberal, you're an idiot if you are moderating that board. :p )
 
I for one can attest to the fact that Alex isn't banning anyone. Were members of a car club and started a forum for it. ONE of the things we made a new club is because we were tired of threads dissappearing and members being banned.

Alex is a straight forward guy and will tell you what he thinks. I talked to him today about what is going on there and he told me about the bannings and how he is tring to get them to unban some members.

I'm a newbie around here and don't know the story about what happened with Zac and really don't care what happened,but they are two seperate boards and i'm sure that Rod would like it to stay that way and see topics like these never pop up over here.

While I never got banned, ( I really didn't post much anyway) I requested to be removed as a member, and was happily obliged with a little help from one of the new mods .

I hope the best for them, but I really dont care too much for a lot of the members. Some of them are just a bunch of derogatory spewing adolescents (sp). I stated that I was not willing to abide by their crazy rules and deleting tactics.

Now I am anxiously awaiting the sure to follow slammings by the guys that feel bad.



I am happy to call this place home, screw the rest, we got the best right here! ;)
