Mr. Damon, many folks have asked and answered this question, and there are many varying responses. When I first got into cigars, I liked taking them out of the cello because I liked smelling them and all that. Now, I just leave them as is. You'll find as you grow more into the hobby, you'll be moving cigars in and about your humidors, and if they're in their cello, I've found they're less likely to be damaged.

Go to the search function and do a Cell on or off search and you'll find way more info than you need.

But since I'm replying anyway.....if they came in cello....I generally leave them in it. It makes no real difference.

The search tool is your friend, I know from experience. when I first got into smokes, I would store mine without, now I store them with. I'm sure whatever way you store now, it will likely change later in the game.

I like to cut the cello in half and keep part in and part out, this way you get the best of both worlds

I think I asked this question a couple months ago. I came to the conclusion that most people keep them the way they came, if they come in cello then keep them in cello, if not then don't. I only have a few months of cigar experience, but I think the cello helps build mold if you keep your sticks at 70% RH or more.

I believe most people store flavored cigars separate from the others.

My daily grab 'gars are sleeveless. Ones that are put aside for later days...I leave the sleeve on. As others have mentioned, the sleeve helps protect them when shuffling things around.

Gabe, the cello doesn't keep the mold out. I know this from experience. It will help protect from other gars w/ mold, but if it's 'infected' by mold from the source, then you run the risk of it blooming.

From what everyone has been saying here, just keep it on. It protects the contents yet still allows permiation of moisture to the cigar. And lastly, don't ever store flavour or infused cigars in the same humidor as un-flavoured/infused cigars even if they're in a cello. The 'aroma' will escape the cello and ruin the other cigars.
