Introducing StogieVault.com

I’ve never been a fan of tracking my cigars, only because there was never really an app that I liked. While Excel works, it’s not ideal, and makes the process rather boring = inconsistent use.

With that said, I’m happy to announce that StogieVault.com is now live!

StogieVault is a website entirely separate from CigarPass, and focuses on tracking/maintaining your collection. Everything is also very easy to use (another thing I didn’t like about other apps; they weren’t straightforward). Adding/moving cigars, etc is very easy to perform. The mobile app view makes it feel like a real app without having to install anything extra on your device.

While this is just the first version; I have plans for many new features… Without spoiling it too much, it’s going to become even more “interactive”.

Special thanks to @CBoukal, @CigarStone , @George Scott , @MX, @Pugman1943 for helping to iron out the bugs and enhance the feature-set. They provided excellent feedback to get us to such a solid version as it stands now.

I see that I can import a spreadsheet, so I'll give it a shot when I can sit down at the computer. That was the first thing I looked for. At this point there's no way I'm switching systems without some kind of automated import function!

Feel free to post your feature requests here (as well as bug reports) and feedback. Any advice you have is appreciated; the goal is to really make this site stand out as something useful.

The next version is going to have more interactive features, where you can actually interact with other users. I should have that portion completed within the next 2 weeks.

The Journal has been significantly overhauled, with lots of logic in place. Now far more than just a place to track cigars, you can have in-depth journal entries, with search, share, pictures, numerous log entries, etc. Worth checking out if you like to keep notes about your cigars.

Feature Update: You can now track the actual value your collection, opposed to only tracking what you paid. When you add or edit a cigar, you will now see this field:

Enter the current MSRP of the cigar, and your new stats bar will now include cost basis and gain/loss.

Feature update: Box Price Calculator. By popular demand, you can now very easily calculate the price per cigar by using the built-in calculator. Just enter your details, and it will calculate the price and then automatically update the qty and price per cigar fields for you. Doesn't get much easier than this...

Maybe I misunderstanding George, but it does that. Keeps a running total of the total you have invested, along with the total current estimated value if you're willing to do the legwork to research that online.

@George Scott Are you saying right now you can see Purchase Price Ea. and Current Value Ea. but not total worth of entry, and that is something you would like included?

Never mind, I'm probably not keeping up with the current changes yet. It's not important.

In the spreadsheet that I am using, I enter the total purchase price (of the box or 5'er tor 10'er and it calcs the price each. I was just thinking the upload could take my total and enter the price each for me. Not really important since I have both in my spreadsheet already.
