Those were probably the best words of advice concerning a bomb that I've gotten since I joined. I enjoy bombing people and that started before this war as some of you know but I never went to the length that Bruce is talking about. I would peek at a favorites list or a wishlist and whatever other info was in the profile and go from there. What he is talking about would make the bomb more personal, let you actually get to know a little about them, and get a lot more satisfaction from sending it out. Thanks for the post. :thumbs:

While some have bigger pockets than others, this is all about giving, in fact..it's only about giving. Meaning, please PIF. If there are hidden agendas, the intuitive learned fellows here (the real FOG's) will soon spot it.

There is no set rule on how many sticks one sends but having said that, quality is always better than quantity. If your affordability is only say, $30 or $40, if you do your homework, you may find it prudent to send 2 good sticks to some rather than 5 ok sticks. Well, that's my thinking on the subject anyhow, others may differ.

Seriously though I agree with what has already been said here. Bombing isn't about what you will get in return and if that is the mindframe you go into it with you will end up disappointed.

That's the one thing I made sure to make a point of to everyone on the Noob side was that this whole thing was about having fun , gaining friends, learning about each other, and the possibility of being bombed. They were told that under no circumstance do you bomb with the intent to be bombed back. That's not what this was about at all. I can't speak for everyone one this side, but I think the majority knows that. As you said, this shouldn't be an issue because that's not the true purpose behind sending a bomb.

I have yet to see these intentions myself, but I agree 100% if there are people in this for the wrong reason. I would rather see my efforts (though small) get passed to someone else. PIF. I think it's great to find a package from a stranger. And it's ten times better to send one to somebody who isn't expecting it. It's torture for me checking back to see if it has landed yet. I may not know what a face looks like, but I have an idea of what they're thinking when they see a package from an unknown. Getting a return bomb, especially in the short term, doesn't pack the same punch.

I started this thread in good humor, just trying to be funny and have a good time. However this is starting to remind of the reasons I go out on the back porch and smoke a stogie! People are really getting personal and some of these post have been out right rude, and should have been handled via PM. I know I am noob but thats just my thoughts on all this. I have had an awesome time playing "war" with you guys. I was sending bombs to people before this started and will continue after I'm done. I have met some great people during this.

So take me off the "Hit-List" I'm not interested in playing this game anymore. There are several Botl's out there that are still most definitly in my crosshairs . I hope people dont feel I'm bailing on them because I'm not...this thing has just gotten out of hand and to be honest it's really rather damn funny people have had these reactions.

So Pre and the gang thx for all the awesome sticks!!!!!!! I will enjoy them immensly. ( This doesn't get any of you off the hook though... :whistling: )

To be fair, having been the 'chiefest of noobs', I know what it's like to be in a 'war' and wonder if and when you'll get bombed. I wasn't in it for that but I think it's natural for someone who's new to all of this to wonder "why's that guy getting bombed, are they gonna bomb me? That's gotta be such a blast to get hit!"

During the 'Viva La Revolution' I had some good council from a great BOTL and experienced member to help me keep things in perspective. Ironically, when that brother posted, his brief foray into this war wasn't well received. Newbs take note, yes Neal can make you feel like the little girl he says you are BUT he 'ain't no dolt'. Pay attention to him, pay close attention.

My point is that for an inexperienced member to think " That's gotta be such a blast to get hit! I hope they hit me soon" is not the same as "It's my turn, those FOGS have failed miserably in all aspects of this war and also failed to uphold the camaraderie of CigarPass"
