Jack McKeon, manager of the Florida Marlins

"Miami-based Padron cigars sent him a humidor of 100 Millenium cigars (valued at $3,000), and it took him about two weeks to polish them off. He also gets a healthy stash of Arturo Fuente brands during the season. As part of the deal, McKeon says he often mentions what brand he has in his mouth."

Dang... now this guy knows how to smoke!

I'm sorry coventry, did you mean to say "The Defending World Champion Florida Marlins" beat your Astros yesterday. Good game, but tough to watch while the Heat was beating Indiana.

And now, back to the topic of this thread...

McKeon smoked a 100 Millennium's in 2 weeks. I don't know if that is really cool, or really f'd up. 2 weeks. C'mon. Alright, where's Moki? I feel a challenge coming on.

7 PMM's a day for two weeks and that's if he didn't smoke anything else. Seems a bit much to me, I'd be happy at 2 a day :)

LMAO @ Ricardo :D

Yeah I missed that part, thanks for setting me straight :D :D :D

In the entire 40+ year history of the Houston Astros/Colt 45's, they have NEVER made it past the first round in the playoffs (excluding split seasons, etc) so I can't say too much 'cause the Marlins have only been around about 10 years and have won all twice now, right?

I bow down to the Marlins ;)

I don't want to get my hopes up but the Astros are looking pretty good this year with Pettitte, Clemens, Oswalt, Miller & Redding.

McKeon is a good guy. A bull****ter, but a great guy none the less. As for my beloved Marlins...their record speaks for itself. :D One of the downfalls of the LENGTH of baseball season however is that you can spend the first few months either pissing it away or kicking ass and it won't make a bit of difference in the end. :sign: :sign:

Now, if my beloved Red Sox could ever get past Bambino....

Now, if my beloved Red Sox could ever get past Bambino....

Living here in New England which is full of Red Sox fans who are used to disapointment, they generally don't get their hopes up too high.

I'm tellin' ya though, this year has the potential to be a GREAT one for Red Sox AND Astros fans

No wait, I DID NOT SAY THAT :0 I don't want to put a hex on either of their seasons, so

NEVER MIND :p

Nonetheless, I am quitely very optimistic for the Sox and the Astros this year ;)

Being here in So Cal............

The buzz is on.......The Dodgers and Angels both have the best records in their respective leagues........The Lakers are hitting their stride........Soccer has been drawing well.........Beach vollyball is heating up...........Yeah, its a good time to be an LA sports fan..........

Unless you are a football fan........................ :0

Says Jorge Padron of Padron cigars: "We make four million cigars a year. If Jack McKeon had enough time, he'd probably want to smoke all of them."

Livin' down here in Sunny Cental Forida, it's tough to watch a good baseball game unless they're playin' the Yankees..... :D :sign: :p  :D

Sorry, Fast. Pete Munro is now pitching in his home state for Rochester of the Int'l League, my Minnesota Twins AAA team. :)
When did they demote him? He was up for the past 2 years

Fast, Pete Munro was signed by the Twins last winter as a free agent. Almost made the team out of camp, but the Twins had to keep a couple of guys that didn't have any options left. He's leading Rochester in wins. :) Gregor
