RIP! His agent reported that he went to a hospital in Atlanta for pneumonia and passed away there. He is 73 years old. God knows how much i loved his music. I don't feel good!
A giant of American music the like of which I doubt we'll see again. Brown, Berry, Charles, Dylan and Presley are the pillars that modern popular music stand on. The Hardest Working Man in Show Business can now retire to his just reward. He will be missed.
RIP Godfather, others can only follow where you blazed trails. Hopefully some of today's musicians can return to the glory days of music, music at the present has no identity and is bland. The most popular musicians continue to be the pioneers. The Stones, Pink Floyd, on and on, it is a sad day for music but thanks to technology his music will never die.
