I think they are very decent for the price. Even better with some age on them. I've had both the Brevas and Cazadores and can recommend either.

The Quintero Brevas are another good economical smoke, though I prefer the JLP's YMMV.....

I personal have found some great info on the search engine here. There are some good threads on thses machine rolled stick.

I used the search function also, however, most of what I read talked about how strong they are, not how good they are.
 
I almost picked up a bundle of JLPs in Cuba for 25 CUC (about $28 U.S.) cause they're so cheap and a pretty good smoke. I had to make decisions though since I was only allowed 50 cigars back from Cuba without paying any duty so the JLPs didn't make it. If I could have, I would have picked them up.
 
mild to medium body i'd say, lots of flavor, not a bad cigar.....and the price is good on them. Consider buying a couple for everyday smokes. A little aging goes a long way with the JLP. Check them out, not all of them are handmade though....only a couple sizes.
