I was going to keep this only at CS but after doing some reading on here, I felt like I need to post a warning here as well.

Gawntrail was in a high-end lotto on another board. He chose several numbers and drawing are held monthly. He failed to send his end to 2 winners and said his reason was that his financial situation was tight and his wife was fussing about him buying cigars. He continues to say the say both in the forum and in pm to the two he owes.

Well, after reading a post here yesterday, I pmed him and encouraged him to get it straight, as it's my lotto so it's well within my right to do so (in case any of the whiners want complain about it)

Gawntrail stated that he was waiting on a shipment to pay off his responsibilities. This has been going on for quite a while mind you.
Then I see this thread...

My wife likes the CAO moontrance and a couple other CAO flavours. I started up on the Pimp Sticks (Natural by Drew Estate) when we share office time. She digs the smell. Well.........I came home yesterday and she's sitting in my chair with a Pimp Stick in her mits bellowing out a mouthful of smoke. She's not full on into the humi, but she knows what to look for. And she likes a puff or two of whatever I'm smoking now and then

I've noticed a few smokes missing before. As soon as the missing sticks are Davidoff MBs, OPUS, PAM, and/or DC Maximus we'll have to have a coming to Jesus meeting. Until then, I guess it's cool. She can't wait for the box of HdM Petite Robustos to come in. She's been wanting to see what all of the hype is about (the Havana hype).

But hey, then again, she is the accountant.........

VERY NICE. The Chatroom and Poker buttons at the top are awesome. The taupe and putty color scheme are cool too. My wife would like it. We're painting a couple of rooms this color scheme (HGTV is the devil).

Overall a very cool change. Now if we could get a new shuffle of smilies........

So, let me get this straight...the guy says he's having some financial issues, his wife is fussing about how much he spends on cigars but he's obviously got good ones, goes to Vegas a few times a year, got the whole HGTV thing going on, plays golf and meanwhile, 2 guys that are owed roughly 4 sticks each ($60) will just have to wait, right? I mean, that seems fair I guess, it's not like he made a committment or anything..... :whistling:

But I kept reading and found more....

I had a great time as well. Greg, his buddy Richard, Rod, his better half, and myself enjoyed some adult beverages and some quality smokes. Was definitely worth the time out of my busy weekend.

I also got the chance to enjoy one of Las Vegas's better golf courses. Silver Stone is a great loop with some very challenging holes and pin placements. Played my usual bad game, but made it all worth it by birdying the 18th with a 20+ foot bender under the scenic windows of the clubhouse.........almost like I knew what I was doing. I got to swing the sticks with Greg, his father in law Bob, and another Circuit City dude Matt. Great people and a great course. Looking forward to reappearing in June or July.

I've got a snap shot of Greg and his Father in law and one of Greg and me. As soon as I figure out how to get 'em on the web somewhere I'll link to them.

I figured out the cigarphotos.com thing. Here are a few photos. I didn't get any of our time at Mandalay Bay 'cause my camera was being used at the Coaches Clinic. But here's what I've got.

WOW! Heck, it's not even about the smokes anymore. This guy is a con artist! And from what I hear, he's quite full of himself in person too! But, here again is the infamous line....

I sorta get the same thing. My wife doesn't mind me smoking, she gets hot when I do the buying.

And, I remind her that I am cool with all of the HGTV $hit that goes on in our house. I don't complain about those costs. But, she tries to remind me that those things are for the whole family and cigars are only for me. She does have a point and I'm getting better at skirting that one.

As long as I'm fairly conservative on the monthly purchases, she's pretty cool with it. But, I know I'm in for it when the Davidoff MBs show up.

Was in the mid to upper 70s this last weekend. Went for a swim and smoked a CAO Brazilia Gol while floating on a raft.

One of the fringeys for paying the outrageous home prices around here.

I found a new hangout though. Unfortunately it is an hour away. Fantasy Springs Casino (tribal) in Indio has a lounge upstairs with a section dedicated to cigar smokers. Am going to check it out in Feb. Taking my wife to see Bonnie Raitt. Will let you guys know how it is.

As for you guys.....and the snow shoveling.....and the below zero weather........no thanks.

Very cool idea.

I converted one of my kids bedrooms (after we moved him downstairs into the garage conversion) in an office/smoking room.

IF, and I know indoor real estate is a premium, you have an office, you can add a dedicated FAU above that room and pull the smoke out through it and route it out one of your gable vents. That's what I did.

Now, if I had to consider outside space...........I like what CC is on to. A bigger structure with a smoke room in it. But, if space and/or cash were at a premium, I would look into this, just a bit bigger. I've got a small shed I built from a kit I got at Lowe's. Lawn mower, tools, junk, you know..........and I couldn't see myself being in it. A bit small. But a 10 x 12 or so sounds like it would do the trick.

Good luck to all who want to take this one on. I'm going to be building a huge deck on the back and around our pool. That's enough for me.

Maybe when I'm done, I'll host a SoCal Herf and Terf. Hey.........just maybe on to something here...

Sorry for not posting sooner. I've got an issue with a vendor I ordered sticks from for this and a couple other things. I know I am out of the JAN drawing and I will make it right for MMM. I just can't dip into the MasterCard again right now until I clear up this vendor.

I might just bite the big one and go to my local triple overpriced smoke shop and settle up. It depends on how it goes Monday. Regardless, I'll make it right.

Again, MM, I'm sorry for the delay. I didn't try to be a douche bag, it just happened that way. Very UNsnobish I know (but I can't help it).

I am still in a jam. The wife says I can't order any sticks until next week. We just closed on a refinance and it took all of the spare cash. I am going to relinquish my numbers for now. I am sorry for not being able to meet the deadline. I bit off more than I could chew.

I will be mailing out MMM and CCats winnings as soon as I get them in (probably the first week in Feb). I am imposing a 2 stick penalty on myself for making these guys wait.

I finally ordered today. My wife has been on a terror about cash and my cigars and coaching stuff has been her favorite target of late. But, it is still my responsibility to pay off on time.

The good news is that I finally ordered, but the not so good news is that the order won't ship until the 14th due to the holidays. So, another ****burger in this saga.

I've PMed Lee a copy of the receipt and subsequent email about the sticks on order. I've not received them as of yesterday.

Over on CS you can read my post about settling up with a 2 stick penalty for the grief. As soon as these touch ground they will be turned around to both CC and MMM.

As far as the rest goes:

My wife and I have earned a comfortable income for some time. We spend most of our disposable income on our home and our kids. The OPUS and Davidoff MBs I have were bought last Summer while on vacation in Florida. I don't have boxes of anything except LGC Wavell maduros, CAO MX2s, and Sancho Panza DM Quixote. The rest is a few here, a few there.

I did bite off more than I can chew with the CS Lotto. I thought what I had on hand would be good enough, but after seeing the expectation, I knew it wouldn't do. So the $hitburger situation.

CC and MMM will get there 4 sticks + 2 more for the grief.

As for Leebo, as I stated in the PM, I hope that clearing this up and making it right with CC and MMM, this also makes it right for you.

FYI,

#1 Golf in Vegas w/Gregor22 was comped due to his connections. Thanks for the great time! And as soon as I get my tournament set up I'll have you and Richard come down. You'll be my guests for the tournament. Golf, chow, adult beverages, and smokes included.

#2 I was walking through Ceasar's because a coaching buddy I was taxiing around wanted to pick something up for his wife.

#3 My wife and I have keep a strangle hold on our finances. Any deviation from the monthly budget means big time trouble for whomever strays. Plus, my wife is one of those wives that supports what I do, but doesn't really dig the costs related to them. But, she is the mother of my children, and she is over all a good babe.

#4 I apologize to those for coming off a bit lofty. I've been there and done that before, earning a healthy 6 figure income for a few years. My wife and I invested well, and now we can live on a teacher's salary ($50K), tight but do-able. Again, sorry for being so pompous.

In addition, I hope that settling the score makes it right with the rest of the members here at CP and over at CS. For whatever reason it took so long, it is my fault. It is my responsibility to shoulder.
