My thoughts and prayers are with you drunkfish and with your wife an daughter...being a parent is rough when things like this happen. Still the prognosis looks good for your baby girl. She should pull through okay. Hang in there and you should have cause for celebration soon.

everything is going well none of the cultures came back bad yet so at 2am we will knlw for sure but she is much better off the iv and eating good again. She may be coming home tomorrow.

Welcome to the Wonderful World of Parenting!
It's an emotional roller coaster that you never get used to. Every time they get sick, you feel their pain.
As new parents, this had to be heart wrenching for you guys.....I'm sure a lot of us here can share a similar story with one or more of our kids.
But I have to tell you, educate yourselves as sometimes the most obvious issues are not picked up by your doctors as they go through the normal, generic approach to diagnosing a child's sickness. If YOU GUYS think it's out of the ordinary lines of sickness, insist in escalating the process to a higher, quicker level ASAP.
With our children, err on the side of caution my friend.
It never gets easier, but you guys learn more with each passing cold, flu bug, ear infection, bump, and bruise. You'll have it down in no time!
Hope your little lady is home soon in her own bed....great job Mom & Dad :thumbs:
