I've been contemplating placing an order for a pound of Carribean. My mouth waters just thinking of the Dominican Coffee I had while i was there, and have been searching far and near for something similar.

Is this stuff worth the $20 a pound I'd be paying after shipping? I love coffee...but my mouth also waters thinking about Caribou's Fireside...which is $12 a pound.

Any advice? Anyone out there have access to Cafe Santo Domingo straight from the DR?

Advice: PM Mr. Jerry, he will work w/ you on just about anything.

And YES, they are very much worth the price.

In my opinion, Killer Beans are worth WAY more than what Jerry charges for them. Hands down, this is the best coffee I've ever bought on the American market. Just order several pounds and the whole shipping thing begins to get clouded amongst all the beans. :)

Hey mhortsch, make the jump....I'll take care of you on your first order! Please keep in mind that the Caribbean Cut Throat is my 2nd most expensive bean (Electric Chair Espresso is $11.95 per 1/2 lb, and $19.95 per lb) at $14.95/lb. and you don't need to make it your everyday coffee...but at 30¢ per 12 oz. cup it's still cheaper than a can of soda.

Here's my guarantee:
Our Guarantee. We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with anything you buy from us, you may return the unused coffee (return via priority mail only) within 7 days for a prompt refund or exchange.

Did you guys know that Caribou Coffee is 87.8% owned by the First Islamic Investment Bank of Bahrain. :0

Killer Beans Coffee Co. is 100% owned by me...born in Chicago in 1960 and not a member of any Islamic organization.

Give me a chance to change your mind...you won't regret it!!

Thanks,
Jerry

We ran out of Mr. Jerry's last week. My wife went and got some Starbucks to grind up. We made a pot. ugggghhhh. :0 We will not make another. Thank God Killer Beans made it a few days later.

But how does the Carribean compare to the Cafe Santo Domingo found in white bags in the Dominican.

That's the stuff I'd give my left nut for. I managed to find a friend of a friend thats from the DR, he had family coming in to visit, so i asked for lots of coffee, I got 2 bags :(

That stuff is insane, blows blue mountain out of the water.

Thats what Im looking for...that caliber of quality, taste, and overall smootheness.

mmm...smootheness.

Here's a link for your Dominican coffee.

Please keep in mind that these beans were roasted weeks ago and the fact that they're already ground means that your not going to get anything close to the flavor that you get from whole beans that you grind as you need.

Viva Killer Beans!

ok....
not a coffee drinker (GASP! :0 ) but the wife may enjoy it, or at the very least the moochs at the fire station...

Guess I'll try some too!

I have had the opportunitty to get a special from Mr. Jerry and the coffee is far superior to what you can get locally. I'm in the middle of a complete kitchen gut job and have had to settle for Dunkin Doughnuts lattes. Can't wait to get back to KB's full rich flavor!

Do what I did... PM MrJerry and ask him to put together a sampler pack for you - it costs a little over $20 - and he'll invoice you - you can send him a check for payment. He sent me three varieties to try...

I think if you read through this thread, you will see noone will down MrJerry's coffee. I have not met anyone yet who doesn't like it. As a matter of fact, whenever I meet anyone who is familiar with it, all I hear is raving... That's what caused me to ask for the sampler.

I don' know if this is good or bad, but I hate to tell you, you will be hooked when you try it. That is some GREAT coffee!!!

Killer beans Venezuela blend has that smokiness that you willl find in Santa Domingo, however it is much bolder, oilier and aromatic.

The caribbean cutthroat is not the same it is just better.
