Alright...strap in, here we go.
Cigar Spots On the Strip:
- Davidoff Lounge, Forum Shops across from the Wynn: Davidoff's are insanely expensive, everything else is generally MSRP. So if you like Liga Privada, AVO, Rocky, Fuente/Opus, etc it's not a bad spot to buy a stick. They are BYOC as well with no issues. Great drinks and service. One of my personal choice lounges on the Strip that I frequent the most.
- Montecristo Lounge at Caesars and Paris: Hear the newly renovated Paris Lounge is really nice. I have not been there to confirm. The Caesars Lounge is nice, usually busy with a diverse group of people. Cigar prices are absurd. BYOC shouldn't be an issue, however its been a couple years since I have visited.
- Legacy Club is the real deal. 60th floor of the Hotel. They may require a reservation, also it's a little hard to find once you get into Circa on the main floor. Worth it, especially if you want to put on your fancy clothes and treat yo-self. They have cigars for sale that are not atrocious, but they are above MSRP. BYOC is not an issue. Fantastic cocktails.
- Eight at Resorts World is equally as good, and equally a pain to get into depending on the night. They have the most outrageous cigar prices in town. BYOC also not an issue, great cocktails as well. Stunning lounge to smoke in, live music/DJ come on later in the evening and are usually too loud, unless you're into that.
- Whiskey Down: after Davidoff, is the other Strip spot I usually visit. BYOC without issue, they do have cigars but it's a limited menu. I met
@CgarDan there last year and we had a great time. Great recommendation
@Smart Ash .
Fremont:
- The Griffin: dark, dingy dive bar vibes with great seating and weird bar tenders. Fremont personified. They used to have a small selection of cigars, they still might. BYOC not an issue. I like this spot when I am down there.
- Lovo Cigars: Container Park, upstairs. No lounge, but they source and roll their own tobacco/cigars. Great prices and good sticks. You can smoke on the roof of the whiskey bar across the way, and they make solid cocktails
- Evel Pie, no cigars, just great pizza and beer! This is one of our Date Night spots.
I can list more to visit, but if you're looking to kick it around where you are staying, Davidoff will be your best bet. Uber and Lyft are plentiful and mostly affordable unless there is an event or game going on. We have got caught during "surge" operations and it's a pain.
En Fuego Sahara, Helios, Cigar Box, SMOK, Triple Crown, Chocolate City, Tap 'n Ash are all great spots off the Strip.
Two spots that are worth checking out off the Strip:
- Las Vegas Cigar Outlet: largest humidor west of the Mississippi, or so Uncle Roger claims. Roger, the owner, is a pain in the ass, but the size of the Humidor is worth it. Crazy selection of cigars. I stop in 2-3 times a year just to walk around. He has old stock AVO which are prime smoking. Don't take em all!
- Vegas Classic Cigar: I am biased, as it's down the street from my house, and I am good friends with the owner. Prices are spendy, but not Strip level. The Lounge and atmosphere are what you're paying for; top notch. Also the best cappuccino in town. If Margarita is working, you will feel like a King. She's incredible.
Places to eat? Boy, pick your poison. Literally too many to count. We don't visit the Strip to eat hardly ever, and it's been a while. I cannot comment on any of the new joints down there, but heard good things.
Everything else the boys said above checks with me. Some things don't change a lot out here, while others things do. Sadly Casa Fuente does not have a re-open date.
Feel free to DM me with any questions! Oh, it will be hot in August
