Not sure how we almost made it to April without a latest purchase thread. Anyway, here’s todays mail call

One of our drivers was on vacation and stumbled into an antique shop. I had him pick up this Barling estate pipe and Dunhill pipe oil. Super excited about this pickup.

After a pretty crummy bidding experience with one vendor on eBay I picked up a Rusticated Bulldog from another vendor. It arrives tomorrow!

A new Meer just arrived. Very happy with it!

I have four cigar ashtrays but none of them could double as a pipe ashtray. Also replaced the original mortise and tenon connector.

I picked these up at an antique shop for holding tobacco.

Holy crap, I DO just love that pipe, oh my. I would have walked a mile ( and that would have taken some long ass time ) for that. Just busts my chops Tom. Great find.

Went to a local pipe shop to buy an entry level $30-$50 briar and my wife liked this one. I would have been an idiot to argue! Trying to pin down the age of it. It’s a Fermoy B10 fish tail. Searched the hell out of it and can’t find much. Found some completed auctions on Worthpoint which leads me to believe this particular pipe isn’t made anymore.

A fellow club member was selling pipes to benefit his wife’s friend who recently lost her husband. She wanted her husband’s pipes to go to people who would appreciate them. A couple of miscommunications and lost emails, and I ended up with SEVEN of the pipes. No real big names but all in extremely good condition. The small poker and reddish churchwardens are Mr. Brog the bulldog is a Ben Wade Ovation and I believe the Calabash is a Pioneer. I have smoked them all except the Calabash and they all smoke great. I particularly like the Ben Wade and the Whitehall Gulfstream (straight Dublin on the right). The little Mr. Brog is a damn good smoker too.
