I did a search of recommended lighters and did find a few helpful comments about the Xikar and Blazer lighters. However, I didn't see where anybody has talked about the new Zippos.

I have been lighting my cigars with matches and, to be honest, I don't see how you do it without lighting the wrapper as well. Just wondering if anyone had thoughts on the Blu?

I have 2 different Zippo Blu's and I've never had an issue. Personally, I love that it's a flint lighter and not a spark lighter. I guess it's the luck of the draw?

But, I do like both of mine.

Have to agree I don't like mine, it works but I just don't like it. I really like my old zippo now with the new fuel for cigars and pipes, no odor!!!!

I recently got one from a casino and it is not my favorite. It continues to run after I let go of the button. I was told this was a feature to make it similar to regular Zippos which is nuts. I am glad I got it comped because I wouldn't have paid for it.

x2 on the Z-plus...in my nicely aged brass Zippo case. I've had the same one for a couple of years now and it's still going strong.
x3. I put a Z-plus in one of my dad's old USMC Zippos. It looks great and I've had no problems with it at all (except maybe a limited capacity  ). I recommend

I have a Zippo Blu and it works fine, uses the hell outta fuel (no adjustment for the flame and it's wide open). Definitely torches the foot well. I agree with the others, Z-Plus in a Zippo is what's worked best for me.

I have a Zippo Blu and I don't care for it. It is very awkward to handle (flip top hits your hand) and I don't like the sparking of the flint. It sometimes hits the wrapper where I am not trying to light.

The cheapo Ronson lighters from Wal*Mart are great, especially for the price. One of my friends bought his back in August '07 and it just started flaking out last month.
