Nice haul today! Tried the triple oak angels envy on a recent trip to Nashville - really enjoyed it. And supposedly the James E Pepper is allocated - but I’ve heard great things so I could not pass on it.

The Pepper barrel proof decanter bottles have been out for a little over a year now. They vary batch to batch but are generally pretty decent, they tend to have a lot of baking spices on the palate.

I cracked it open this weekend and had a pour. It was on the spicy side (barrel proof), but I did note the baking spices you suggest. This is one that I would most definitely add ice to (I do prefer not to dilute my whiskey...) I would not call it my favorite, but it is a definitely nice whiskey. I don't regret adding it to my collection!
