when i started smoking cigars the only reference guide on cigars i had without doing alot of searching was "cigar aficianado". like everyone here, i learned that there tastes were much different than mine. now, in addition to reviews here, i also use the top25cigars website on cigars i havent smoked to see what others think first. i think it would be useful for the regulars here to list there top 5 cigars in an isom and non isom category. i think it would be useful to newbies and guys like me who havent smoked every cigar out there. if there was a cigar that was on alot of guys list, id be more intrested in trying it when i otherwise i wouldnt have given it a second thought. id also be intrested in seeing what my tastes are a year from now compared to today. i guess this would be kinda like the "wish list" topic; kind of an ongoing thread to use as a reference for someone looking for feedback on a particular cigar. not to mention a few suprises on what different people rate certain cigars over others. this may have been done in the past, but i thought id start a new one up anyway. and since well use this as a buying reference, lets keep it to cigars still in production. here's mine:
