Long Island Charity Herf 2009!

Ok, I am planning my 4rd Annual Long Island, NY Charity Herf at Maxi’s Cigar Lounge for Saturday, September 19, 2009 @ 1:00pm. Last year we had over 75 people and this year promises to be even more. Here are the location details:

This year, the herf will once again benefit the Variety Children’s Learning Center: www.vclc.org which is a school for children with Autism and learning delays. This cause is very important as the current statistic is Autism affects 1 in 100 children.

$20.00 entrance fee includes hot tray foods, 2 - 6 foot heros, salads and soda/water. Everyone attending will receive a goodie bag. Raffle tickets are $5.00 each, 5 tickets for $20.00 and 13 tickets for $50.00 with all proceeds going to the school.

A great time was had by all last year so let’s do it again this year! Post on this thread if you are plan on attending.

Scott, I leave for vacation that day. But, I do want to meet up with you sometime beforehand to buy some raffle tickets for the cause. I'm all out of hats! :laugh:

Wow...sounds interesting and for such a good cause. Unfortunately, can't make it as it is my son't birthday that day. My wife would have a fit. Good luck with this event...looks like you are already off to a great start.
 
I will be there. Besides who knows maybe 13 will turn out to be my lucky number :p
 
I'm going to try and get someone to work for me that day. So right now I'm a maybe. I'll bring the potatoe latkes.
 
I can't make it this year Scott as I have to work the Army football game as they are taking on Ball State that day. Kick off is 1200(12pm) and we have to have the be in place at 0600(6am). I hope you have a great event as always and make sure to take plenty of good pics...... :) :thumbs: :cool:
