If he really did that it would be amazing. There is a gag to it and the fact that he could pull the gag off is pretty good.

The tied shoelaces were hidden by his pants. The untied laces you saw were just loose ones that he pulled up his pant leg when he started shaking his leg, thereby lifting his pant cuff and revealing the tied laces. Watch it again and you'll see the loose laces disappear into his pants...he also grabs at the side of his leg after he's done (indicating something was in there).
