I'm looking at a couple different samplers so that I can add to my newly starting cigar collection. They are:

CAO Sampler ($39.99) - Cameroon, Maduro, Gold, Criollo, Brazilia, Italia, and CX2 (7 cigars)

CAO Sampler #2 ($26.95) - Brazilia Piranha, Italia Ciao, Extreme Robusto, Gold Robusto, Cameroon 1968 Robusto

Torano Sampler ($49.99) - Cameroon 1916, Exodus 1959 Silver, Exodus 1959 Gold, Virtuoso, Signature, Casa Torano and Reserva Selecta (7 cigars)

Ashton Sampler ($59.99) - 898, Magnum, Cabinet Pyramid, Aged Maduro #40, and the rare VSG Robusto (5 cigars)

I've heard a lot of great things about Torano's. I've smoked a couple different Ashton's in my time, and I have a couple CAO Sopranos and a CX2 in my box right now, but I have yet to have the much talked about Brazilia and Italia. What do you all think?

I like the Toranos myself but that doesn't mean you will. They're sampler packs, buy 'em and sample away.

I think you should start here. I don't see any Pepin Garcia blends there.

It's hard to tell you what to get because we don't know what you like (mild, medium or full). If you know what you prefer do a search on them to see which fits you best. I would just buy different cigars start smoking them some you will like some you won't but in time you will figure it out. Just enjoy

John

btw all of the samplers you have there are good.

I love both the Brazilia line as well as the Italia line...
Can't go wrong with that Torano sampler either.

If I was you... I would pull the trigger on this deal here!!!
Tough to beat those prices on up to 10 smokes!!!
Mine came yesterday...

What ones do you recommend out of that list?
IMO, for those prices you really can't go wrong with any of them!!!
I would take the Diamond Crown Maximus, Graycliff, LFD Americano, Olivia Master Blends 3, Padron 64, and the Party 160... Pretty damn good 6'er!!!

If it was me, I'd opt for the Ashton or Torano samplers. I'm not a fan of CAO. But to be honest with you I wouldn't buy any of them.

Honestly bro, forget that crap. For another $20 you could invest in a CP Newbie Sampler.

Let your family take care of you. It's the only way to go.

The most expensive sampler you have on there is $60 for 5 cigars.....

I dropped $65 on the Newbie Sample/Trade and got about 25 cigars I think, I didn't really count...
And I got sticks from all across the taste/strength/wrapper spectrum. It was the best money that I spent. It really helped me figure out where I wanted to start, like I found out that I like natural wrappers not maddies. So that helped me when I started buying on my own. I have started to come around on the maddies though.

I still feel like my trade partner was like my first teacher or coach.

I just contacted the next guy up on the CigarPass Newbie Sampler thread. Thanks everyone for the words of wisdom. I can't wait to see what he has in store for me.
