2 pilots from 1/12th of the 1st Armored Division died last night after their Apache crashed during night training.

Double D hosted these guy's unit at a function a week or two ago, and they fly past my balcony everyday on the way to the range, I even had one pilot wave at me and give me a thumbs up when he saw me standing out there smoking a cigar.

Pretty sad day around our neck of the woods.

Prays sent to the rest of the brave pilots and to the families of the two men we lost.

Wow ! sorry ! and Prayers sent and I will make it a point to have a nice stick in their honor this weekend while thinking of what a great job these guys do for all of us everyday.

These men put themselves in harm's way for all the rest of us. I appreciate it and send my prayers and best wishes for their families and their fellows.

well i was reluctant to write about this do to was not sure if familys were notified. It is a sad day for me I remember one of the guys on the range was reading stories to his child over the cell phone. I am not sure it was one of the deceased I do know they were all smoking cigars and I gave them the adress to this site and told them about opft and the sandbox pass. thats was also one of the reasons I did not post it these guys have enough stress without reading about it here. With that said the whole crew about 40 of them were great guys and I am sorry for thier loss.

Respectfully
Dale

I am sorry to hear this. I been crewing and working on blackhawks for over 15 years and you never get use to news of fallen aircrews. It is said among aircrews that when a butterfly flys into a hanger area or on the flight line; it's just your buddies coming around to check on you. So this cigar is for you guys.

Peace
