Now that we have reached 1800 members. I was wondering who has the lowest member number.

I am sure it is not me (1463). What is yours?

So Rod is # 2, who was #1? There were 36 people that joined that first day (5 Jan 2001).

Some are still around. I wonder what got them all to create and/or join this board.

Maybe some history about CP would be cool.
 
Member #1 is the admin account, and I am #2.

CP began back in 2000. Actually we are exactly 5 years old this month. The reason you don't see posts from 2000 is because the very first message board I installed was D-Forum. We only had three forums: open cigar passes, in progress and closed. There was no discussion on the board. I quickly changed that format to include more forum categories to initate more of a community. We had to ditch D-Forum and go with another board which offered more features, so I chose YaBB (which is still around). I didn't like the direction that board was going, so I decided to switch over to Ikonboard. Ikonboard was great; we were able to convert all our old YaBB posts over to Ikonboard. Ikonboard was sold out to another company, and again, I didn't like where it was heading, so we switched to Invision Board. I have no plans to move away from Invision Board, as they have been excellent, and the company is great to deal with.

So there you have it, a little bit of history. CP is older then some may think.

Lowest active number is prob Bill (Shadow) #14 followed closely by Matt R at #26. After that the numbers climb fairly fast. Trying to list only those that post from time to time I'd say next is Floyd (Skydivnekd) at #189 and then Mark (Horse) at #200.

Prob forgot one or two.....
 
Posting has become few and far between here. Work is kicking my a$$ with a county wide server consolidation project. But as long as they keep paying me, I ain't gonna complain :)

back when I joined 2 years ago we didn't have yer fancy wireless internet or cigar cutters or lighters. We used our teeth to cut the heads. And when I needed a light, used some flint and old newspapers.

Low number here, but I do believe I had a lower number before the switch over, back in 2000. I think we had to sign up again and I farted around and didn't do it until a day or so after I was informed.
 
EdGar and robnsue still check in from time to time, also.
 
Matt, is Devin been doin' alright? AIn't heard from him in a bit. I'm sure he's out enjoyin' the wide open roads on one of his bikes! :whistling:

If ya see him, tell him I said hey! ;) Hopefully we can get up at LOL this year!
