Ok, don't flame me please, i just have a simple question. I'm sure most of you out there have smoked some machine made cigars (swisher, backwoods, etc.) at one point or another. I am just curious as to which brand you would reccomend and why and which have better quality that the others  . Thanks in advance.

No flames required - I just don't smoke them anymore because you can buy very good handmade short filler cigars for not much more than the cheap MM's. Padron Fumas (when you can find 'em), Connie's, even ISOM's like Jose E Piedra and Quentero can be had for $2.00 or less a stick. I just don't smoke anything "less".....

JEP's are my current fave in the $2.00 / ea range, buy YMMV....

Regards - B.B.S.

Before I started cigar smoking seriously, I used to snag my pals backwoods every once in awhile. I actually like them alot, a quick cheap little sweet smoke that you don't need to pay much attention on to enjoy.

I wanna get a few quintero brevas, gotta find someone to smuggle them in at a cheap price though. :whistling:

I like Backwoods... great hiking and fishing cigars... just light them and smoke.

I tried the honey flavored ones last year while back in the states.

There are so many cheap machine mades, Antony & Cleopatra, White Owls, Grenadiers, Backwoods, etc. If you're going to be out and about, then the Backwoods are your best bet simply becuase of the foil pack which keeps them fresh. I like the rum-soaked Backwoods.

I can't say I've got a lot of experience with inexpensive American MM's though. Although I have been accumulating one or two specimens every time I visit the B&M. Perhaps a taste test is in order.

My list of favorite backwoods is like this:

Honey-Berry

Sweet Aromatic

Rum

Vanilla

Black 'n'

The only machine made worth smoking in my opinon is Muniemaker. It's all Ct. tobacco. A real American Puro. A little time in the humi and there an ok yard gar.

Doc.

My father used to smoke these and Judges Cave (also made by FD Grave). A very good friend of mine smokes them exclusively and would rather have a Muniemaker than any hand rolled premium. I like these as well. I think they are far superior to Backwoods Smokes or any of the shitty machine made cigars like White Owls which have a wrapper that is made from homogenized tobacco. :0

Just wanted to add that smokes that are not 100% tobacco are shittier than the ones that at least don't have any paper or other chemicals.
