Folks, if you haven't gone and seen this movie yet and appreciated the first one, you WON'T be dissappointed by Matrix: Reloaded. Three times the action, four times the special effects and twice the storyline.

This Matrix is an action sci fi movie on steroides. I was very pleased with it and am glad that the third movie is coming out in November instead of waiting another 2-3 years, as the cliff hanger is one of the best/worst ones I have seen in history.

Anyway folks, great movie and worth seeing in the theaters.

Sam

That I will... it's been so long since seeing the first one, that we've bout decided to rent the first one just before seeing the latest release.

I did not think it was "as" good as the first one. Only because of the shock value of the special effects and the story in the first.

It was wonderful and I highly recomend it. I can't wait for the third one.

Okay I will have to agree with Joe. I found it a little disappointing. Yes the combat sequence's where great, but it was just not as good, the music was humdrum, and not original at all. It seemed to me that it was selling out, not being as original as the first, but what can you expect, it is extremely difficult to surpass. the original. Would I recommend it, yes I would, but don't get your hopes up for anything earth shattering, just accept it for what it is, a decent action movie. :)

I may have to wait to see it on dvd. If you haven't seen X-men 2 you should go. I have decided it's the BEST super hero movie ever made. Seriously! I have seen just about all of them, and x2 is one of if not the best. I didn't even read the comics when I was a kid. I was always a Spiderman reader. But this movie blows the first xmen and last year's Spiderman out of the water. :sneaky:

My favorite scene of any super hero movie is still... Superman's first appearance in public..the phone booth wasn't a booth..had to change in the hotel doors, then the pimp comments on the threads, then saves Lois and the lines... "I've got you." "You've got me...who's got you?"

Yes, I agree that is a classic moment. I do love the first two Superman movies (at least the first two with Reeves) and would say they were my favorites as far as superheroes go, until I saw x2. However, they both hold up today and tell a great story. Even Superman 3 is pretty good, for camp value at least. Richard Pryor was great in that one. However, I just couldn't get over how well they told a story with so many characters. That was the problem with the original xmen. The characters weren't fleshed out. However, x2 does a beautiful job of really building lots of characters up and giving some new ones a foundation for later movies. Even just teasing us with characters like colossus was done well. Okay, I admit I'm a total comic book nerd. Believe it or not I never really read the xmen comics as a kid. I was too dumb to understand all the different levels of the stories.

I can't believe that we are discussing the merits of Superman, damn I need to get a life

Did I make a wrong turn and end up in a comic book BB....I was never much of a comic strip fan, therefore the movies are less appealling to me...LOL....I liked the evil dudes in Superman 2 and Richard Pryor in Super 3....or was that 4 or 5 or 6 or.....LOL
