In preparation for the Miami Herf, Scott and I went in to Little Havana today. We got out of work a little late so most of the places were closed. Aw shucks, we have to go again.

Our first stop was the Padron offices. They don't make cigars there, its basically their distribution center. We spoke with Rudy Padron about the upcoming Miami Herf and what we were planning. I've spoken to him a few times now, great guy. We had some really good cigar talk with Rudy. In fact he even gave Scott and I a cigar. He gave us a cigar from the stuff they smoke around the office. They are basically Anniversario seconds. I got a PAN Principe and Scott got a PAM Principe. The wrapper was a little banged up so they can't sell it, so instead, they smoke it. Well, we're talking to Rudy and he says, "Hey look, there's the old man." The "old man" being Jose Padron himself. It was pretty cool. Had a quick conversation with him. As we were leaving he asked Rudy if he had given us a cigar. Rudy had already beaten him to the punch. It was cool, being given a cigar by the Padrons.

The rest of our scouting mission wasn't too bad. But honestly, after the Padron offices, nothing else could match up.

Great experience. FYI it will not be any problem to take a tour at the La Gloria location, I am good friends with Richard, guy who runs the shop and handles the tours. They are pretty much allow anyone to take the tour. There is also the Puros Indios location about 5 min from the Padron location. I can also talk to one of the Perdomo reps (Fat Paul), really nice guy to visit the Perdomo location in Miami Lakes. Or, Jorge can talk to him.

By the way, thank you everyone for your acceptances into the club.

Waz up, que bo'la. Loca!!!!!
