I found a topic in search, and the responses were not positive, but it was at least a couple of years old so I thought I'd try again:

Is there such a thing as a good Mexican cigar? Not necessarily good and cheap, just good. I've got to know if my people can make at least one stick that rates above well-it's-better-than-black & mild-wine-but-not-by-much.

Thanks,

Te Amo is a Mexican cigar i used to smoke years ago, now i hear they are using tobacco from other countries. Maybe they could use Don Pepin to help them out.

personally I like the A. Turrent's they're mexican
They're not a bad cigar...but they do taste quite different that what you might be accustomed to if you are familiar with typical Honduran/Dominican/Nicaraguan fare. I've only smoked a few but they perform like a cigar should...they just taste a bit unusual. I wish I could say more, it's probably been over a year since my last.

I have not tried the premium Te-Amos but the regular line, just horrible. I smoked some vanilla-flavored one once and just about tossed my cookies.

Wilkey

I went, earlier this year, to Mexico City for work and went in search of a good Mexican cigar. I found that the Te Amos was bitter and unpleasant. But I did get a nice surprise with a Lieb (100 is mild and 300 full). I found only one place online sells them (http://circulopuro.com/catalogo/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=810_824). I post it so you can see the wrapper. I personally enjoyed them a lot and brought back some.

Well, the Party 160 is Mexican binder and filler. Some folks think those are a great cigar. I'm not one of them. :(

The only decent Mexican smoke I have had is the Te-Amo Anniversary. The regular line is absolutely unsmokable.
