Just got Min Ron Nee's Encyclopedia of Post Revolution Habanos Cigars, thanks to CC here at CP in a trade.

Spent the last couple of hours just browsing through it, checking out the cigar porn inside and reading a couple entries.

All I can say is WOW. Here is a book that is as thorough as anyone could want and his insights on ISOM cigars is incredible!

It's expensive, but if you have any wish to learn more about ISOM cigars, especially if you consider yourself a conisseur, then I have to reccomend this book - it is simply an incredible resource.

Thanks again Bill!

Agreed..... its thorough and his insights are...well, "his" insights. ;) I love the hard data available in this book but prefer to look past his personal opinions.

Looks like Sam won't be coming out of the reading room for a few days. :D :sign:

I love this book and I pick it up 2 to 3 times a week for 30 to 45 minutes at a time.

I am still fairly new to the ISOM thing, but I have made many purchases based on this book since purchasing it and have been very happy with the results so far.

I think everyone should grab a copy if the intrest in ISOMs is there.

Did this one come from that British vendor? If so, how long did it take for it to reach you?

Sam,

Glad your enjoying the book. So much great information I keep mine right on the coffee table in the family room. I just love getting lost in the pages reading about various cigars.

Enjoy brother don't forget to share ;)

Mine was ordered from MO on Saturday evening, just curious how long shipping is. I figured for the price I paid for shipping, that it would have been here today.

I like the fact that there are full sized pics of the cigars so you can compare and check.
(FI: have a RyJ and wasn't sure which one, after matching it up, found it to be a Ex.4.)

There is also a bunch of great factual info on almost every topic.
Enjoyed looking at the pics of diplomatic Trinidads, Cohibas and the special humidors that come out every now and then.
I also enjoy that the book was rescently made so it has note on everything except for the CoSig 6.

It includes a not on the Sig VI - just the fact that it came out in 2002 for production LOL.

I am enjoying learning more about the brands themselves - has me even wanting to give a better look at Bolivar and ERDM. The real treats though is learning about the special edition, commentrative and limited edition cigars.

As I have said before my wish list has "evolved" :sign:

Check out the Siglo XXI humidor on 464, 465, 466, 467, and the accompanying cigar list on pages 468, 469, and 470. :0

I know of someone here in Texas that has one of the 21, intact, and the last time I saw him he mentioned that he would be willing to take a considerable less amount than what he paid for it. Anyone want to do a group buy? ;) :D

I about had an orgasm when I checked that beaut out and was showing it to Melly this afternoon....

:sneaky:

... the XXI in the BOOK you PERVS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, that was VERY impressive. I have been scanning and reading from the book all day. One of the biggest things for me was to help learn more about some cigars that I have heard whispers about, and have been thinking about trying to try... so did kinda help me steer in the directions that I want to try with the tasting notes and such... Kinda hard to find a cigar review on some of these hard to find cigars :p

My new-found holy grail though?

Page 32-33, the Bolivar Gold Medal... between what I read about it in the book, the accompanying picture... the funny thing? I am not even that big of a fan of Bolivar - but THIS cigar has my curiosity up full bloom!

Course, I do recognize that the chance of me ever smoking one - let alone see one in real life is slim to none :p
