I've seen these guys around since I've joined the board, and have always noticed that they seemed to be stand up guys who were really genuine. And a wealth of knowledge, who aren't afraid to use it, and at the same time use it with style, never putting someone down.


And now with this auction going on, all I have to say is this:



WOW! I can't think of words to describe your generosity and thoughtfullness in how you've set up this auction! And continuing to sweeten the pot by offering up extra super-far-beyond-premium sticks if the bidding hits a certain point! Marvin S. could use a couple guys like you at that big CA event that was featured in the Michael Jordan issue last month.


Thanks for being the model citizens and stand out members that make CP what it is. :thumbs:

Newbes, this is what it means to be a BOTL.
 
At the risk of sounding like an ass-kisser, I have to step in and say something here, too. I come from a family that gives to good causes. We are financially comfortable, and see it as our duty and honor to help those who need it. My father, besides financial support, volunteers on call as well as teaching numerous classes fo rht Red Cross, and has instilled his children with the same ethic.
When I hear about people who are auctioning off these beautiful cigars to help more, it makes me thrilled to be a member of the Bortherhood of Humanity, as well as of the Leaf.
Thank you, everyone who is going above and beyond the call to help their fellow man. I know you do not do it for the recognition, but you should be proud of the fact that you have it, and deserve it.
From the BOTL who has opened his house to people in need, to the genrous FOGs donating these friggen OUTSTANDING sticks, to every person bidding on those cigars...good for you, the world is made better by each of you, with every selfless act.
 
Kenny deserves the credit for taking the family under his wing... and Floyd came up with and organized the whole auction deal. I'm just along for the ride!

Also don't forget the generosity of the CP members here... just look at the bids in that forum! Booooooyaaah!!
 
Kenny did get the ball rolling by doing the hardest thing first taking in the family. Floyd, Moki and Rod are right behind him, it is good to see others think about more than themselves. My hat is off to you all and all the BOTL that will make this auction a success and help a family in need!
 
Well i have to agree with you guys the sticks Moki and Skydivnekd are offering are top stuff, that i'll probably never get to smoke (or look at), the only bad thing is i can't afford them :D

That's the way to go, and you bidders keep up the good work :thumbs:

That's a good point to make. There are BOTLs here from all walks of life and not everyone will be able to join in on the auction, myself included.

However, I would still like to encourage everyone to do what they can, in whatever manner they can. Kenny is still taking donations outside of the auction, and every bit helps. :)

I picked the rarer stuff to auction because I figured it'd raise more $$ than stuff you could just walk into your local tobacconist and buy. You make a good point though, even if you can't or don't want to get in on one of the auctions, do what you can!
 
I have talked with Floyd, and I'm going to put some smaller less rare cigar auction packages together so the less Mokius of us ;) can bid and share some love. Every bit counts. Look for a post later on tonight with some smaller less rare packages. Remember ... it's not about finding a steal. It's about doing something to help.
