Mold or "frog-eye?"

It does not wipe off, it is not fuzzy. I'm leaning toward a bad frog-eye, if that's how you say it.

R&J No.1 tubo.....about a month old, kept @ 65% RH and less than 70F.

What say the hive mind?

Smoke it? Toss it? Is this the type of thing I should I let the distributor know about?

Im shooting for mold, Im no expert by any means, but the "fur" around the spot leads me to believe that its mold. What is the box code on this stick? Are any others effected?

Appears similar to many wrapper discolorations I've had and smoked with no adverse health or taste effects. A chlorophyll issue it seems. I did a quick google search and came up with this guy's blog on wrapper discolorations: Blog. It's author seems to have basic knowledge of cigars and helpful in trying to share that info. I can't find any issue with his writings at first glance.

Absolutely not mold. That's a water spot / wrapper discoloration of some type.

Hey buddy, I just got done reading a few blogs and after looking at a few pictures, it appears to me that you're right. It does look like "frog-eyes." This is harmless and you can smoke it. I doubt those are water spots. So smoke it, it is fine.

FWIW, I had googled and discovered a few on the topic. Just that their "green spots" are so small and insignificant compared to the monster on that stick!

It smoked fine (I try to burn the ugly sticks first. ), but it wasn't nearly as tasty as others from the RyJ line-up.
