Most Varied Cigar Collection?

I am a collector at heart, plain and simple. A product of genetics AND environment; my father has an insane lifetime stamp/coin/fishing gear collection. My grandfather had hundreds of cigar boxes filled with widgets and obscure bits, all meticulously organized and labeled. ( Sure wish i had a few more of those cigar boxes now...) Like them, once I set my sights on something, I gotta have one (..or two or three) of everything!

I've gone through various phases: baseball cards ( Mickey Mantles baby!), my premium tequila collection ( ..still a phase), vast quantities of books of very specific topics, music, music, music ( I've owned thousands of CD's and sold thousands after moving through that genre)and newly, cigars. For me, my greatest obsession over the last 15+ years is jazz: music, books, memoribilia, you name it, I got it. Can't get enough of it. Ever. Ever. In fact, I am currently working diligently on putting together a website with my jazz inventory for two reasons: one, to put together a database of all the things I have hoarded away and two, to share it with anyone who also may share my sickness.

Which brings me to the point of posting this thread. As I have been productively procrastinating on completing a proposal for work, by working on my website, it occured to me...

Who on CP has the most varied collection of cigars?

And, athough diversity is preferred, who has the largest shear volume of sticks? ( Post a pic for validation!)

I apologize for my ranting....thanks for sharing in my (temporary?) insanity!

I have about 400 sticks but I know there are others who have many more.

I have never figured out how to upload photos as attachments to posts so you're just going to have to take my word on it.
 
Honestly a few guys come to mind, but I doubt they will come foward.


But I'll tell you this, although I have got it bad. It SURE AINT ME!!!


I prolly got about 600ish give or take 50 or so havent taken a COMPLETE count yet, but I got a pretty good idea.

I'll post pics if at all possibel cause I have wanted to for some time. But I am still trying to borrow a digital camera from my folks or a buddy or someone.


Any way U could just drive your ass down here and root through them yourself! :0

I currently have 600+ cigars. I am sure that there are many guys out there that have WELL over 1000

Current Inventory - still have about another 25 or so that I have not listed yet

I will leave the guilty annonymous where it comes to most sticks. As far as most varied assortment of sticks, I would put my fridgedor up in the top %25 in terms different brands/sticks.
I think many of you would be surprised at who has a lot of sticks. And even more surprised at who doesn't hold a lot of sticks. :0

You have way to many Opus X sticks for any one guy to be hording!!!!!!

Nice list, I am jealous, especially of all the A. Funtes you have!!!
 
It's not me. Though my collection right now is at the largest it has ever been, it is less than or right at 150-175 sticks, mostly ISOM (about 100). You will find few brands right now though as I am running really low on "singles" and the majority of the brands I do have, I have at least a 5-pack of. I also have the most "boxes" I have ever had at one time, but it is still only 3 boxes - all ISOM.

After the holidays though I am back on a buying rant :sneaky:

Keep in mind that I had 0 cigars on October 1st, 2003. I have been on quite a spending spree the last 2 months but now it is leveling off. I plan on try to purchase 1 box per month plus singles here and there.
 
I have about 160 cigars. Subtract a box total, a couple of 5ers, and the rest are singles or doubles. What can I say. I like variety. :)
 
I know the answer to this but will not divluge the identity of said person. :) Oh and it's not me....
 
I'm pretty sure I know who it is but I'm not tellin' :sneaky:

I'm afraid I share the same collecting gene that MMM has :( It seems I prefer collecting over actually smoking as I obtain roughly 10x as many as I smoke each month. I have no idea how many I have and frankly don't want to know. Fortunately there are plenty of fine brothers around for me to dump excess inventory on :0

I have two humis, a 50 ct. and a ~100 ct.
there are ~15 in the small and ~70 in the large, but will have a bunch of small packs coming to me soon.

just enough for me to smoke when I want, gift a few away and save some for ythe future.

wish I had a few more, but do not know where I would put them or when I would smoke them. (now that it is winter here, down to ~2 a week)

I have about 75 sticks. I have 4 of one brand and less of all the rest. Never owned a full box of anything :( . mostly singles and 5 packs. Hope to buy a box or two this year :D and will start trying to get some isom's :thumbs: .
