My mom admitted into the hospital...

Well, my mom's boyfriend is a real piece. She has been hovering near Death's Bed and what does he do. He argues with her and starts yelling at her. To the point he got himself, my sister and her boyfriend kicked out of the hospital. I didn't ask my sister if he was escorted off the Hospital property. Now my sister is worried that mom will try to bolt due to her boyfriend being his normal self.

If I have to tell the hospital that he isn't allowed to see my mom at the hospital, I will do the paper work so he can't visit her till she gets out. Her mental state and health comes first. I do not like this guy at all. A real piece of work and no idea why my mom stays with him. This will keep my sister out of the middle of his BS since he threatened her tonight. And I don't tolerate this type of behavior very well. Nothing like a lot of drama to add to this situation. :angry:
 
Ah...Loren, it ain't none of my business but you keep posting, so I'm going to tell ya. Your mother's boy friend is beginning to fit the profile of an abuser. I'd keep my eyes and ears open if I were you. Your mom may be one of those women who just can't do anything about it on her own.

Above all, make sure there's documented incidents. From the nurse or report the incidents to the police.

The hospital will not stand for or tolerate that behavior...as you are not.
 
x2 on what Doc said. She may feel like she loves him and he to her, but it's not the same type of love that the rest of us feel. I wish you all well and hopefully you can get some assistance from the hospital to keep him away.

Seems like that guy needs a good old ass kicking, but of course that wouldn't really solve anything.

Just my opinion on the matter. I wish you and your mom the best!

Its all good Doc. We are aware already. None of us can understand why she would even want to stick with him. He has no people skills nor can he handle anything that causes him stress. He goes instantly into panic mode. If I had my way, his bags would be packed and put outside. Definitely keeping our eyes open and the hospital staff now know for a fact he isn't any form of relation nor married to her. They said if he causes another scene, he will be escorted off the property and if that means in hand cuffs, so be it. They can't have that kind of crap in a hospital and my mom needs her peace and quiet so she can heal.

On the good side she is doing pretty good today. They had her walking around and what not. It sounds like they are going to transfer her to a regular room since her heart beat and blood pressure has stabilized. Even the Surgeon said she was on Death's Door steps. Very very very lucky that she is alive.
 
Ok they have released her and she is at home. She is doing much better. I get to take her up for a follow up this Friday but so far, things are looking really good for her. Thanks once again for all the prayers as its been a rough week.

Awesome news. Sorry for the drama with the boyfriend but I am so glad she is doing better and is home!

I am a nurse and had a boyfriend kicked out in handcuffs for fighting and then trying to punch ME. We nurses don't put up with that crap <grin>!
