My take at the B&M today...

Nice score Wilkey... My favs are the ERDLH and the 601 Blue label was a very surprising treat..

Enjoy brother.

I like the 601 red. I have only had one of the blue, and it burned badly, but tasted good. I still haven't had the black, but CS wrappers and Denver air don't mix well, so its probably for the best.

601 blue labels need about 4-6 months I think to really shine. Don't get me wrong they are a great smoke just could be a tad better. I was satisfied with mine, just gonna let em sit for a few months and come back.

Nice score brother Wilkey!!!
Out of those, I've had the 601 Red, and the Criollo... And IMO, both where pretty damn good!!!

Cool!

Gary down at CigCity told me that the Reds are selling like crazy in the shop but that the Blacks are mild and complex. Didn't have too much to say about the Blues but my car is blue so call it a whim. :D

I was going to pick up one or two of the Camacho Triple Maduros but I didn't realize the cost. They start at about $10 a stick for the smallest size. I just couldn't do it today.

I'll be taking the Red out to the garage tonight. Man, it's been a long week.

Thanks for the sharing your experiences.

I thought I was the only one that liked the CAO Criollo.
Not at all. I like these fresh but with half a year on them, they really present a fresh, tangy flavor not unlike a hopped up Montecristo. I like 'em. :D

It has been a while since I had a Criollo, but I did enjoy the ones I had, though they were straight from the B&M. I also enjoyed the 601 blue.

X2. I had some smaller ones that got a really good flavor after sitting for 6 months or so. :)

I have a couple 601's I have to try....hmmmm, looks sunny this weekend! :D

Well, I just smoked a 601 Red and it kicked my ass! What a powerhouse. I got the whole runny nose and watery eyes treatment for the first inch. But damn, such full flavors and an amazing trailing smoke aroma. Great stuff. I am really looking forward to the others.

Don Pepin, I'm starting to see your magic touch. :)

I hate to be the dissenter, but I was not thrilled with the 601 Blue. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't that the tobaccos were bad (it is a Pepin, after all), I just couldn't get into it. I got about halfway through and doused it.

I'm a big fan of the 601 red label La Punta- the figurado shape. Apparently they are moving it to the new green label which is the oscuro line.

What he really bought:

For some reason, back when I was starting to enjoy good cigars, a Criollo whipped my ass big time. Sweats, spins, white in the face.......I had to lie down and take deep, slow breaths for a while to keep from puking...!! I'm willing to write it off as my being a "nOoB" at the time, but it left me less than excited to every try another....

Enjoy the goodies, friend Wilkey - B.B.S.
