I'm familiar with the #9 connies as they are excellent, but I'm running out of em :(

I was looking through a Holt's catalog at some of their bundles and got a little overwhelmed.

My display humi is full of some decent to nice singles, but my poor stepchild coolerdor that lives in the closet safe from my jealous wife is very lonely and empty right now. I usually try to keep some mike's baker's dozens (had pretty decent luck with those) or some connies, and mostly bundles, but I'm wondering what else is out there in bundle land. I got burned on bundles by Thompson a few years ago when I first got started. I'm pretty sure that Satan runs that company because any Newbie who ever mutters "I wonder what cigars taste like?" gets a Thompson catalog in the mail the next day! Damn their elegant prose. I got some nasty Thompson bundles in a humi from them. Love the humi, hate the smokes!

What bundles do you guys like the most? Besides #9 connies of course. I have a stage 5 empty coolerdor. If the wife finds out it's in the dumpster!! :(

My current fave are the Black Pearl Rojo, Toros. About $2.50 a stick and great flavor.

Wilkey

I like Flor de Oliva. Any of them except the maduros, but that is just my opinion.
You can find them for less than $2.00 a stick.

Tampa Sweethearts are Fuente seconds. Haven't had any but I love Fuentes so they'd have to be good.

I second the Flor de Oliva. I love their Torps. Always keep a bundle around and at less than $40 for 20, you can't beat 'em.

You might also try Connie DR's. They have a different flavor from Connies and seem to be much better quality. Also, try Sancho Panza double Maduro-la mancha, and Plasencia Magnum Maduro. Along with regular connies, these are my 4 regular smokes. Hope this helps

Brandon

Recommend the RD Gomez Fast Break Maduros. Not a bundle, but at $74.99 for a box of 50, bundle-like pricing.

Very tasty short smoke!!

Here's a link to their website:

Good Luck!

According to Tampa Sweetheart's web site, they specifically state that the Tampa Sweethearts are NOT Fuente seconds.

I bought a box of the Black Pearl a while back and agree with Wilkey. My order for the DR Robustos and my backfill of Connie #9 maduro arrived today. I'm adding the RP Selects and the Plasencia Magnum Maduro go on the list as next up, thanks.

Tampa Sweethearts and I believe the Curlies are rolled by apprentice rollers in Florida. They were never intended to be front line Fuentes. I bought a range of the Sweethearts and have enjoyed them all young. The Curlies I bought just after I joined CP and were nasty, even to me. I smoked another recently and it was pretty good.

La Aurora has bundles of seconds from their regular line. Other than a some wrapper imperfections they smoke like the firsts.
