looking for a special smoke for an upcoming "thingy" next month. looking for some of your opinions, what you smoke on bdays,anniversaries, births, etc. need somthing that i can get in 2-3 wks. I have some special stuff aside, but looking for something out of the ordinary (no moontrances wilkey, that's your deal :laugh: ).

You can't go wrong with an EL like Gary said.

How about searching out a couple Cameroon Sharks?

Right now, I'd say the most special cigar I have in my humi is a Padron Millennium. Not sure when that'll be smoked, but you can bet it'll be a special day.

Think up a list of cigars that you might like to try and post an ISO thread in the trading room. Depending on what you want you maybe surprised at what you can get. :whistling:
 
I would say the Padilla 1923 45-count leatherbound sampler humidor is pretty darn special. If you want stuff that's smoking well now, I'd stay away from the 2006 ELs. I think the Stanford's Reserve and ESG's can also be had and they are pretty special and good smokes to boot. How much are you looking to spend? You're looking for a whole box, correct? Or just a few sticks. If the latter, I'll be watching to see which way you're leaning. ;)

If you want a good special smoke, I'd go with a HdM Particulares. Sure its in the price range around $32 a stick but its also like a 3 hour smoke and well worth the $$$ spent on it.

If that doesn't work for you, I'd go with a Opus X Lancero. :thumbs:
 
Ok, lemme clarify, I hate to mention this, my 40th birthday is coming up near the end of March, wife is taking me to vegas for some fun.
Looking to spend $100-$150 for a sampler of say:
Davidoff 100th
Padron Millen's
Opus Forbidden
EL's (any will do, haven't had one).
I am going to post in the trading room as well.

I've got to agree with Loren about that Opus X Lancero :love: That's a fantastic smoke. :thumbs:


If memory serves me well, there's a certain cigar that tastes like a Partagas SD3 EL 06 that is pretty fantastic right now. Another cigar that tastes like a Montecristo Robusto EL 06 that's also pretty fantastic, IMHO. These may be easier to come by than other cigars made to taste like ELs. :thumbs:

A smokin` blonde would work too and Vegas is the perfect place to get it....well, as long as the better half doesn't mind :)

I'd also give the Cohiba 2006 EL a try...if you're in Canada that is.
 
If you are just planning $100 to $150 for Vegas and cigars, better bring your own. Thats only a couple of sticks at Casa Fuente. For that price you can get the Prometheaus 3 stick set with the Reserva d'Chateau, Forbidden X lancero, and either the BBMF or Royal 8. :thumbs:

i am bringing alot more $$$ for vegas, as well as some of my own.
