Loved Boots! Not sure what it would be like if I was a former Marine and saw it - but it sure did feel like stories I've been told by my Marine friends.
And - I can't help but yell "Navy" every time momma farts. She gets so mad...
Just finishing up another college course History of Chicago (also took it in undergrad - but could not resist doing it again here at the junior college - it was definitely much easier this time around...). Had to do a movie assignment and one of the available options was the Blues Brothers (growing up in the Chicago area, it has a special place for me...). Had not seen it in years - but really enjoyed it that much more as I was analyzing it against the neighborhoods we discussed in the course. It did add a lot of meaning to the film since the last time I saw it - it truly is a completely Chicago film from beginning to end!
But as far as what momma and I are watching...
Landman (so pissed that I just started watching it only to find I ran through first into the second season and it's mid second season already! I had thought there were more seasons and now we have to wait for the next episode to come out each week... But Billy Bob Thornton is the perfect character and who doesn't like Sam Elliot!
Tulsa King - though now I have to wait until the next season for it to start again...
Matlock - it's currently on hiatus - and wait for it to start back up again.
Elsbeth - a carry over from The Good Wife - loved that series and this is an ok substitute.
Legit Street Cars on YouTube. If you're into cars, especially unique recent vintage - I highly recommend it. He makes a blown head gasket repair look like a cake walk!
Rich Rebuilds on YouTube. If you're interested in what it takes to repair an EV - Rich is the guy. He's uber cheap, so it's interesting to see how we manages to fix them on a budget, considering the $15-$20k it costs to replace the battery pack!
Also just found out that Lioness will be coming out with a new season in 2026! Can't wait!
Taylor Sheridan sure puts together some powerfully engaging story lines! After watching 1883, 1923, (we don't much care for Yellowstone...) Lioness, Tulsa King and now Landman we are tempted to watch Mayor of Kingstown. Heard some good things!
I recommend Mayor of Kingstown, Landman and Tulsa King. Lioness was ok first season but I felt the second season wasn’t as good. Maybe the 3rd season will be better.
I don’t think the 4th season of mayor of Kingstown is as good as the others but not over yet!
