NEW Car!

So, last week I go to the local Jaguar place (MotorcarsInc.) to buy some parts for my 86 XJ6. They guys that own the place are active in our local Jaguar club so one of them says to me "Hey we're bringing a bunch of cars to th auction 'cause the lot's too full, you wanna buy one?" I'm thinking to myself "NO, don't even go outside and look because I know I'll find a 'DEAL'"

Sure enough, there's this 1992 XJ6 Soverign they're asking $4,500.00 for and they told me they'd let me have it for $2,500.00. Here it is:

I figure I'll drive it for a few months then sell it.

Anyone wanna buy a 1992 XJ6? :laugh: :laugh:

Wow, I couldn't have resisted that bargain. That would be a nice car for my wife, who babies cars, and not me, who drives the hell out of 'em.

I don't know CC as well as some of you guys. From your comments, I am imagining a "redneck-like" yard with cars up on blocks, only they're all Jaguars. Pretty funny mind picture.

Ah, I'm a member of the Jaguar club in Connecticut. They are all affiliates of Jaguar Clubs of North America (JCNA) and I show my '86 in their car shows or "Concours". It's is a heck of a lot of fun :thumbs:

I have a question for you. I have a quite a few family members who live in the nutmeg state, how do you afford to register and insure so many vehicles in CT?

My insurance rates aren't expensive at all since I live in the woods as opposed to the cities or the suburbs. I don't have collision or comp on any of my cars except the '86 Jag and the extra $$ for that car is less than $200.00/year.

Property taxes on cars that are 13, 18, 19 & 26 years old is only a few bucks per year :laugh: Cars over 25 years old with "Antique" plates can only be assessed at $500.00 so with a mil rate of 30, you only pay $15.00/year for property tax. My total property taxes on my FOUR cars is less than my neighbor who has a brand new SUV. :laugh:
