New DaVinci Code Trailer

I've gotta say, it's one of the best books I've ever read and I read alot. I hope the movie does the book justice. I think with Tom Hanks starring and "Opie" directing it, it should be great.

Angels & Demons was much, much better. They should have made that a movie.
if you read Davinci Code, A&D was the first book with Langdon, and was much better. DaVinci code was a good book, but best ever? if you like thrillers, read this:
93 Confimed Kills
this is a true story of SGT. Carlos Hathcock, the greatest Marine Sniper of all time, with 93 confirmed kills. He and Capitan Land developed the sniper program for the Corps as it is known today. one of the greatest stories i have ever read, kept me on the edge of my seat.

I wholeheartedly agree. Angels and Demons was a better story in my opinion.

i did in fact read that book too. it was pretty amazing. like when he had to crawl across a 100 yard field and he had to move so slowly that it took him three entire days to get to the other side! he was a pretty amazing guy.

and id have to disagree about a&d being better than davinci. a&d might make a better movie because there was more action, but the premise was far too simple and shallow. it didnt really make you think like davinci did. also, davince will hit a hot spot with anyone that believes in God that will spark all kinds of water cooler talk. a&d was just a good book, nothing more.

Both books are great, but DaVinci is my all time favorite book. It made me think of things in a different light.

I was gonna write this big long response....... the hell with it !!!!

I just got both A&D and Davinci (Illustrated Versions)..... gonna read them both again this time with the photos.

I can't wait for the movie !!!!

I heard he has another book coming out..... anybody hear about that one ?

I read on DanBrown.com (I think that's where) that there are clues to the next book on the hard cover dust jacket of Da Vinci. It has to do w/ a sculpture in front of CIA or FBI head quarters I believe. Supposedly a code that has never been broken.

I am reading "The Last Templar" right now. So far so good. Has a similar premis and is compared to A & D and DVC. Some other really good reads-not in the same realm- but I loved "The Time Traveller's Wife". Amazing story and plot. Last I heard, Pitt and Aniston's movie Co. had the rights to it, so who knows what will happen with it. I also have gotten into Vince Flynn. His book "Memorial Day" is really good. I am working on reading some more. The main character is a CIA assasin/interogater and is very entertaining.

I had read somewhere that the next book is going to deal with the Free Masons, but I haven't heard anything definite.

I thought both Brown books were a lot of fun. The biggest problem I have is with my mother in law who thinks the whole thing is absolutely real, EVERY bit of it.

Vince Flynn is an excellent author. Might I suggest you read his novels in order. Term Limits (the first and not with Mitch Rapp) is a great read and the Mitch Rapp series is best read in order. One can really see his development as an author if his books are read in order.

Flynn is a regular on a radio show out of St. Paul (he's from there) that I listen to and his appearances are always great. His novels are VERY well researched and he has so many sources for his material. I'm not saying it's all true, obviously, but there is great truth in most of what he writes.

Yeah someone else said that too. I looked in the jacket but it doesn't look like it lists them in any particular order. Anyone know what that is?

God I can't wait for this movie to come out! I absolutely loved the book, I just couldn't put it down. I think I read the whole thing in 2 days. Brown's other books are pretty good to. While not up to par with the DaVinci Code, they were still very good.

I'm another one who can't wait. Saw national treasure when it came out and thought it fell short of the mark.

Books were awesome hope the movie lives up to it.

A&D and DVC are good books. I thought A&D was the better of the two until I got to the last couple chapters. The ending sucked. However, IMO, both Decption Point and Digital Fortress (non-Robert Langdon books) are better than either of the other two.

Another great read is Ludlum's Bourne Trilogy. If you liked the movies, they have nothing to do with the books. It's like Jurassic Park - they might as well be separate entitiies sharing a name. Excellent series, though. Also try the Nicolas Linnear (first) trilogy (there are 6 books total, but the second trilogy does not compare). Author is Eric V Lustbader.
