Hi guys, i ordered a humidor last week and finally got it delivered today via fedex.
I have a handful of cigars i want to throw in there to keep safe, but am not sure if it is safe yet. A few are pretty expensive Gurkhas. I was wondering how to calibrate the meter. Once i have done that do i just simply fill the sponge like box with distilled water until it doesnt soak up anymore? Do i need these heartfelt beads or seasoning packs?
I filled the sponge type box up with distilled water and placed it in the humidor, it is only reading about 62 humidity in the box itself, i need for it to be around 70 for best storability correct? will this breaking in process bring it up to 70?
Also if i store cigars in my humidor while it is not at 70 will it hurt my cigars? or while i am breaking it in will it hurt my cigars?
Thanks everyone
