Short hangs are normal. That can be caused by network routing.

DNS updated overnight. im connected as of now

Glad to hear. DNS can be a bit slow sometimes.

...for us windows guys, open a command prompt and type:

ipconfig /flushdns

This clears the local DNS cache and forces the re-acquisiton of those oh so important addresses. I do this about once a month just on G.P....

Seems nice and fast on this end, Rod - good job.... :thumbs:

btw, Rod, if it is helpful to you, we found that PHP is the bottleneck in terms of InvisionBB performance (rather than mySQL or Apache). PHP5 is much better than PHP4, and we also installed Zend the PHP accelerator which helped as well.
