Happy New Years everyone and be safe!!!

Staying home, too many screwballs out tonight, and listening to A Prairie Home Companion New Years Special.

Doc.

Didn't anyone tell you? We are going to your house for the celebration!

Just taking a break right now from all the food prep for this evening. We have a few people coming over. Menu for this evening is as follows:

10lbs Buffalo Wings
5lb King Crab Legs
4lb Mussels
3lb Sea Scallops
Baked Ziti
Pigs in a Blanket
Onion Rings
Mozzarella Sticks
Potato Puffs
Chips and Dip
Cheese and Crackers

Doc, I meant Cheekie's house, LOL

Thanks for the invite though! I'm like you too many crazies out there.

....I'm going to Fast4Dr's house....

Actually, heading over to a buddy's house here in Vancouver. Our plan is to head over early and get home before the real crazy stuff kicks in. Once home, I'll bust out an OpusX and get the "high octane" beverages going.....

Happy New Year, good folks - B.B.S.

Don't have to work tonight!!!! Gonna have a few beers and shoot some fireworks for the granddaughter.

Whoops....forgot the Baked Ziti

Well, I have four choices:
1. Drive to Salem, MA to see The Fools
2. Drive to New Haven, CT to see B. Willie Smith
3. Drive to New Milford, CT to go to a house party with some friends of my ex-wife
4. Go to a house party at a neighbor's about a mile away. :D
5. Stay home and harrass you guys here on CigarPass

I'm at a loss as to what to do. ??? B. Willie Smith was a band that I used to play at UCONN in the early 1980s and I used to see them play at clubs in Hartford 20 years ago. The lead singer, Bruce "Willie" Smith moved to Arizona in the late 1980s but he's home visiting for the holidays and they're doing ONE show only. Five of the six guys in the band all went to North Haven High School together and graduated in 1973 so they all turned 50 this year :0 They play Elvis and other late 50s, early 60s rock and some of their own original tunes. I spoke to the drummer/harmonica player Jerry Connolly earlier today on the phone and he said this will be a fantastic show! I'm thinking that this is what I'll wind up doing tonight because I plan on seeing The Fools on January 21st in Maynard, MA.

Now I KNOW that NONE of you want me to pick option #5 so I won't

Option #2 is in the lead at the moment. :)

I had plans to spend the eve with some friends in merriment and fun, but, seems like those plans are nixed ( due to some ho hum ) But, alas... I am resourceful.

Like Gloria Gaynor- I will survive :p

....seems like even in the worst case scenario there will still be a nice quiet evening :)

I'll be working. I usually don't do anything anyway. Like a few others have said, too many crazies out there. Where I come from tonight is known as "Amature Night".

Well, let's see,
so far I have:

worked on a final exam,
and prepared a sermon for tomorrow morning.

The highlight will be watching a meaningless Broncos-Chargers game.

The joys of being a seminary student:
a) Exams are after the Christmas vacation, so we have 3 weeks to forget everything we learned in time for finals, or to be constantly working.
b) they let us, interns, preach on New Year's Day when probably not even the really old people will be at the 8am service.

Have a fun New Years,
pugs

Greetings! My son and I already had a very pleasant New Year's Eve dinner today. I will be at home tonight, safely away from the highways and biways. I will probably watch one of my new DVD movies, have some popcorn, and watch television for the portion of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, when the ball is dropped at midnight in Times Square. Have a Happy 2006, everyone! Regards, knightlaird

Party at the Country Club. I plan on eating some good food, drinking some cold beverages and burning a few sticks! Should be a blast. Happy New Year everyone.

Well I have been steam cleaning the carpets, putting up X-Mas decorations and just got done mowing the lawn. (Yes, I said mowing the lawn... High here today is 74 and the grass is still green and growing :( )My brother is coming over as well as my cousin and his wife. The guys will be playing poker and smoking cigars and then women will be doing.... well whatever it is they do. :)

Happy New Year to you all. May you have a safe and prosperous one!!! :)
